Is the 06 prewired for the Buell heated grips? If so where is the lead?
I going to put some after market grip heaters, Dualstar or Polly heaters. On my BMW K75 I used to own, I just used the connecter that was already wired under the tank.
I looked under the fly screen and didn't see any blank connectors. So are they there?

All 08 and later Buells have a plug under the flyscreen for it. For the earlier bikes you will need to spice into the cigarette outlet. Adds 5 minutes. : )

I have the factory grips on my 06 Uly. The kit came with all the wiring you need. It is plug and play install. You'll have to drill a hole in the left handlebar and the kit comes with template for that as well. The factory kit isn't cheap, but is worth it. : )

I bought an '07 RHS set of switchgear from American Sport Bike. This comes with the plugs to splice into the accessory socket wiring and the 2 Deutsch connectors for the standard Buell heated grips.

I then purchased the 2 matching Deutsch connectors from Batts Racing and fitted them to a set of Polly Heaters.

The result is a neat set of heated grips, less expensive than the factory set-up, (for me anyway), and warm hands!!!

The Polly heaters get so hot you can shove them all the way to the bend (that don't sound right) and still have the bar end weights. I have brush guards shoved about 1.25 inches and the Polly heaters work fine still. Only have had to use the lower setting.

I said shove twice!!

I found the thread that gave me the idea for using the '07 Buell switchgear. If anyone is interested, here it is..........
