Does the color black make them less slippery than the silver?

At $179.20 plus tax and shipping & handling for both rider and passenger pegs, I'll live with my silver footpegs

A little dremel work and a can of paint = do it yourself '09 pegs.

Looks like they just left the corners sharper and plated them.

I meant to post this after my XT demo... in the dry conditions, the 09 pegs were VERY grippy! Deffinately noticeably grippier than the previous version.

Dunno about wet conditions.

Looks like they just left the corners sharper and plated them.

The nubs also appear to have a slight "sawtooth" profile to keep your foot from slipping outwards.

Yea, $87 is pretty steep, but reasonable compared to Touratech, etc.

Are they on drugs with those prices?

Did Eric carve them out by hand?

Edit- I guess those prices are per pair- 4 pegs total, not as bad.

My right foot flew off the peg as I was repositioning myself flying down the freeway in the driving rain (sounds like a country song). Maybe it was the fault of the sandals I was wearing, who knows.

Very unnerving - I'd buy Al's, but with a 34" inseam, I don't want to give up an inch in legroom.

The stockers are slippery when wet - I need to do something.

I think the prices are reasonable, they are about the same as a pair of the old style pegs.

I've gotta be misremembering, then - I swear my rubber-coated XB9R pegs were well under $60.

-=sigh=- I really want better grip, but I may try my own solution before I simply cough up nearly a hundred dollars.

I am trying to find it to confirm, but i believe the old pegs were about $40 a side.

Hex-head zip screws would go a long way toward improving grip affordably. And they won't rip your jeans if you are working on something low in a tight spot. DAMHIK : D

Here's some Fastway Pegs - can't we simply drill and glue the screws
into our stock pegs to mimic the Fastway design?
