New12R - That is some serious peg carnage. Maybe you should slow down. |

The last time Charlie slowed down, it was because a ditch got in the way |

Maybe you should slow down. After totaling the firebolt I got the Uly to "slow down".... Great plan huh! |

Black ice is awesome, you can see from the scrapes that the bike spun around a few times while sliding. Only ate the peg, the frame puck, and a bar end plug |

Yeah... I too bought the Ulysses to slow down on the street... Didn't happen... Front Left peg: Front Right Peg (Includes some low side rash on Happy Valley Rd in the Smokey Mountains - Wife was on the back - Both unharmed): Right Side Passenger Peg (wife on the back): Left Side Hard Bag (Full of grocery's, Bike Labeled the Salmonella Express - Did this on the Dragon): Buell shouldn't have made this bike hanlde like it does... This thing goes like stink. (Message edited by michael1 on September 06, 2008) |

Nice!! Although I can say I refuse to go fast enough to drag peg on the street, all mine is from Barber and Little Tally. |

> Right Side Passenger Peg ... Left Side Hard Bag Crazy. My passenger's toes hit the ground about the same time my peg drags, but I've never touched down a bag or a passenger peg. Do you crank your suspension up for two-up riding? I find I drag quite a bit more with the extra weight. What tires are you running? I found out the hard way that I roll off the edge of my Avon Storm rear shortly after my peg hits. |

> I refuse to go fast enough to drag peg on the street Haha, you still ride faster than most anyone else. You just hang enough weight off the bike to keep your peg from scraping. |

I tend to not RIP all the time on the street, but in a "more" controlled environment such as Deal's Gap, I'm more inclinded to ride quicker. I was running the stock Dunlop D616 when most of that happened (the bag). But I am using a set of Avon Distanzia's (with the 160/60 rear, which is narrower by a fraction) and I still can lean the bike over. I have no chicken strips now, as I did have some on the D616's. But then again, I do move on the bike to shift some weight. The suspension is cranked up when riding two up and yes, my wife's boots drag pretty soon as well. She has gotten used to riding with them loosely on the pegs. But then again, we've been riding quickly two up for quite some time now. I broke her in by a few sessions on the track. |

I guess it just takes some added weight to compress the rear suspension that far. My peg is touching the ground in this shot, but you can see the bag isn't even close:
I don't have a picture of me riding two up, but I imagine there'd be less daylight between the bag and ground. |

Although I can say I refuse to go fast enough to drag peg on the street... Of course you don't have to be going all that fast to do it. I touched down my peg and the passengers toes last weekend. I don't think I was even going the speed limit. I think it's easier with a passenger on the bike because the suspension gets compressed a bit more. |

Well I have not rode two up since the wife got pregnant almost two years ago. I swear I dont ride that fast, but I guess speed is relative.... |
