I imagine they include the racks and all of the hardware?

Looks like I'll have to move the rear signal stalks as well.

Here is the link for both Top and Side case M1930.1AK

http://chicagoharley.com/shop/advanced_search_resu lt.php?keywords=m1930.1ak&search_in_description=1& x=0&y=0&categories_id=&inc_subcat=1&manufacturers_ id=10&pfrom=&pto=&dfrom=&dto=

Any one have this style case yet ? I'm needing some case's and I'm thinking about the outdoorsman style just because the topcase can fit two helmet's but I think the other cases look better, at least in the pictures.

I think the side cases are smaller.

I need to find the part# for the rear signal stalk bracket, which move/lowers the stalks.

I would replace my HB topcase with that sucker, my wife could ride in it when it rains! Anybody knows if they will sell the top case only and will it fit on the HB bracket???

They are the H and B juniors if you want to get a size comparision. IMHO the cases the bike should have come with all along.

I need to find the part# for the rear signal stalk bracket, which move/lowers the stalks.

I'd expect that bracket to be part of the kit, with no need to order it separately.

The "Outdoorsman" side bags are Hepco & Becker 30 L. Junior bags. The Uly bags were 43 L. Journey bags. A helmet won't fit in the Juniors.

Does anyone know if these bags share the same brackets as the regular Buell hard bags?

I really like these "Outdoorsman" style ones. Might look into them for the same reason as mentioned (top bag fits TWO fullface helmets).

I see HB has the 40L side bags (same style) as well. I'd assume they use the same mounts as these 30L??

I just may have a complete set of 3 standard Uly hard bags for sale very soon. : D

Does anyone have any links/pics for more info on these cases?

I would really like to see the latch design on these babies. Seems to me that they would me more user friendly than the current Buell hard bags.

What about mounting hardware: is it completely different from the other bag mounts? Could the 40liter Junior II bags be used on the sides in place of the 30liter Junior II's??

http://www.adventurersworkshop.com/Merchant2/merch ant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=610_034_00_00&Cat egory_Code=Top_Cases_and_Saddlebags_Saddlebags

In that pic, it appears that the side bags open much differently from the typical Buell hard bags. It seems that front "door" opens up and leaves a much DEEPER area to stuff cargo into, unlike the standard bags that kinda open "half and half" (if that made any sense). And it's clear that there are 2 separate latches/locks to open instead of one middle one.

Thanks for any help you can offer regarding these...

Ok, I got some "visual" answers just now at the HB site:

http://www.hepco-becker.de/_eng/frameset.php

Go to: products; case/top cases; Junior

Looks like they sell a top rail for the middle case!

http://www.hepco-becker.de/_eng/images/fotos/junio r_10.jpg

I am REALLY liking these bags much more than the Journeys...

Maybe I need to call Germany to get the info I need though...

Buellruell:

You visual inspection is right on. I saw a set of these recently, in person, and your description is accurate. If you are familiar with Touring H-D's, the latches work similar to that. No key required to get in and out, just to lock it when you want. The mounting brackets are different, especially for the side bags, as the latch/lock that holds the bag to the bracket is rearward instead of forward like the original.
Your description of the side bike opening is right on. The door is the skinny part. You cannot get a full face helmet in the side cases but you can get two in the top case (or 1 helmet and a full, one piece Aerostich suit...), which is why I plan to switch to the bags.
It is my understanding that the kit will come with the necessary parts to relocate the turn signals.
I hope that clears some things up for you.

Anyone know if the Gobi Side Cases will fit on the Sportsman Side Racks?

Thanks

...damn it all, I'd love to replace just my topcase with that one. I like the bigger sidecases, but my topcase never comes off the bike and the extra storage would be BITCHIN'. Sounds like I'd have to replace the mount, though - would that mean my side case mounts would no longer fit?

I cannot find anywhere that offers just the top case unless it is directly from Hepco.

My wife's MG Breva 750 has those style of bags on it. They are alright. The double latches are pretty tough (tougher than the larger bags), but they are harder and more tedious to open and close because you have two latches.

Even though they are slimmer, but I don't like side open cases (or the $800) enough to spring for them.

If you want big then why not get a Harley topcase. My 97 Electraglide tourpak is pretty darn huge and hold a ton. You could put wheels on it and tow it as a trailer.

Great info, thanks. I was told by a HB supplier on the phone that my Uly bag frame mounts WILL work fine with these (as well as any other HB bags), but you just have to switch the bags around (left for right, etc) for some reason. Does anyone foresee a problem with doing that??

From what i understand, this Junior top case (pictured in first post) will fit right on your rear mount without a problem.

I was quoted $807 plus UPS ground for the following:

1)Pair of side Junior II 40liter (NOT the 30 liter as shown above and what Buell now offers in their kit)
2) One Junior topcase, 45 liter
3)One top rail for top case:

http://www.hepco-becker.de/_eng/images/fotos/junio r_10.jpg

(I am told I can get it in BLACK, not chrome).

Of course this does not include the mounting frames, which I already have installed.

At first, I was quoted $907. He later called back and told me that the side bags were $100 cheaper by purchasing them both at the same time!

Anyway- I do apologize if it was against the rules posting the link to that supplier (I honestly don't know if they are a sponsor here or not, and I certainly have no affiliation with them).

I hope I can sell my other hard bags now...

Here is a picture of my Uly with a H&B Junior mounted on it, albeit a Moto Guzzi branded one. You get the idea.

Not bad. Will require relocating the rear turn signals.

Buellsruell let us know if everything fits when it comes in. I'm going to do the same thing I think but won't be ordering until I head to the US in late October.
