In trying to isolate the cause of my buzzing footpegs vibes, I applied silicone spray pretty much all over, and noticed my rear heim joints (near the isolator) looked a bit crooked. Now being the technical brainchild that I am, I have no idea if it's supposed to look this way or not (sorry for the crappy pic, but I think you can get the gist). Any thought? As always, thanks for any advice.

Josh

IIRC, those things are kind of a 'ball-in-socket', so the tie rod itself needn'y necessarily line up with the surfaces that it mounts into.

I just looked at my 2 week old XT, and it is off-kilter in the same manner. Nothing to worry about, IMO.

Same on mine. Have you checked the front isolator? There've been a couple of threads on those recently.

Thanks, I feel better now. Yeah, I've been keeping an eye on the front isolator threads, and mine still appears to be in working order. The only visible discrepancy is the small "crack" or "fold" in the top of the rubber, which, IIRC, can is also visible on new showroom models as well, and not necessarily due to wear and tear. Thanks again for the input.
