Curious about what seat everyone is using.....stock or otherwise. Last night I put a new
Corbin Gunfighter on my '07 Uly, and I have to say, I'm really NOT that impressed. I think I like the "feel" and height of my stock one better.

So who's riding on what out there....more stock seats than aftermarket?

Stocker for me. Some people have tried beads or Airhawks, but I haven't really had the need. My longest days have only been about 600 miles though. The (cheapest) secret is Under Armor compression shorts or boxers.

I have an 08 XT and it has the best stock seat I've ever had on a bike. 800 mile days (biggest-to-date) are no problem...posterior-wise.

As reference points:
I've used Mustang on a HD Road King and loved it. I've used Bill Mayer Saddle on a VFR and it was pretty good, but not outstanding.

I have the stock '06 and '07 for my '07 Uly and prefer the stock '07. I can do 2,400 mile days with no problem.

The secret? Drive fast, carry extra fuel, and of course, these:

Started with a Corbin and switched back to the stocker..the Corbin is too wide, cutting off circulation on the inside of my legs, and really not letting your feet get much closer to the ground, way too slick. Stocker is a little taller but a seat you can ride all day on and still want to ride more.

i use the beadrider on my stock '07 seat. is very comfortable and allows air between your but and the seat which is very nice.

Nipsey, your profile pic looks like an 06 Low which is what I use. I have the 06 regular, too, but I like the look and feel of the Low, especially in Fast Orange.

07 stock. I add a homemade sheepskin pad for long trips in hot weather (~$7 Walmart sheepskin car washing mit split open with an elastic strap added).

Well Bob I thought it was the regular one - but I could very well be wrong as I didn't buy it new (bike or the seat for that matter)! Whatever it is it is comfy and let's me just flat foot it (6-0 32 inseam).

and you are correct sir, despite what the "jealous ones" say - Fast Orange rocks!

'07 stocker on my '06. Best seat ever...and this coming from a guy who has had Corbins on his last four bikes.

I liked my stock '06 except for longer trips, too soft for me.

Bought an '07 seat and although I didn't really like the drop in height the seat felt firmer to me and IMO is more comfortable all day. Like it so much I bought another in orange/black.

I also have the '06 factory Low Seat, never really used it, immediately did not like the drop in height for me with a 34" inseam. It's for sale cheap in the classifieds BTW.

06 stock seat! I have the 06 low seat but like the extra leg room on the 06 stock.

I've got an '07 stocker.

I recently picked up an Alaskan Leather sheepskin, will use that on a short trip this weekend (400 miles in 2 days).

I've also got a Corbin, not as comfy as the stock seat.

I'm considering a Beadrider underneath the sheepskin for a 3,000 mile trip I've got coming up in a few weeks.

'06 stock for me, but I'd like to test a newer model. I like the height, but will quietly admit that the seams can get a bit unpleasant, especially on hot days when everything is a little swampy down there. That's when I just scoot back and enjoy the expanse of the whole seat.

My girlfriend got on the backseat last night after 6 weeks of riding on the tiny piece of black leather that my Harley offers (while the Buell was getting a new frame). Her quote: "I am sooooo happy the Buell is back!"

The '06 stock seat may be one of the best motorcycle seats ever made, custom saddles included.

I love mine.

Put the taller '06 on my '08. Along with Rox 2" risers and the stock bars, my old, overfed self is quite comfy, thank you.

Weirdo here evidently.

Oh so true!

You have found that the '06 low is so sweet for cornering. Less grippy material allows for faster side to side transitions and has you a couple of inches lower.

Otherwise if you were going to actually go some where, like on a week long trip you might enjoy that '06 tall seat. But then you probably wouldn't.

I use them both(albeit not at the same time!), the low for around town and sportin' and the stock for going places and when two up.

But no matter where I am I sit on my ass.

6'4", 34" inseam, '06 stock seat on my '06 Uly. Love it.

Gunfighter and lady on my S2, much better than a stocker, at least on that bike.

Stock "euro" solo on my S1W solo tail. Nice and flat, lots of room to move around.

Stock air seat on the FLHP. Adjustable air shock under a saddle has got to be the BEST seat EVER. Period. 900 mile days, no problem on that bike. Too bad it's so freakin' slow and ground-clearance-limited...

Started with the 07 seat on my 06 (previous owner) and just recently tried out a stock (tall) 06. It is a little tippy-toe-action but ergos fit me better (slight lean, more legroom)...plus the heat doesn't get through nearly as much....
