Is the air in the '08 tires of better quality than the air in the '06 tires" Is the new air worth the extra price? My dealer will give me '06 air for half the price of '08 air. what do you think I should do? | ||

The '06 air was imported from Beijing, '08 air is now sourced from the Grand Tetons. The Beijing air is of substantially poorer quality than the WY air, therefore cheaper. The tradeoff isn't worth it IMO. | ||

There is a rumor circulating that the Beijing air has a high lead content. Human rights organizations are protesting the air as well. Currently several 06 riders have been exposed to the toxic air when the tire began to leak. | ||

I though the high lead content in the tires added to the mass cetralization, thus allowing better cornering | ||

Hopefully they fixed the air problem with the 08's. My old 06 Uly had this wierd problem of the tire just lifting off the ground. www.youtube.com/watch?v=gUe7fdvSJt4 (i think thats the video, its blocked at work, i can't check.) My 06 SS does not do this as much, but still can be an issue on long boring straights.  | ||

Thank god those Dunlop 616's wore out so fast, thus avoiding long term exposure to toxic heavy metal. This might be an OSHA issue at the service department though. | ||

I heard that if you use the air from an 1125R, it will give you an additional 15 horsepower. Not many dealers will do it though, because it's a dangerous process. | ||

I use synthetic air! I also have a magnet on the air hose to align the molecules of the air before it goes into the tire. Has anyone tried using the free range, organic grown air? Just curious.  | ||

I have an 06 Uly and use fresh air exclusively, we grow it nightly, but hey isn't everything made in China?  |
