Ok, so I backed up my eeprom & Fuel Maps, then had the bike running to warm it up. Flashed eeprom & fuel map to stock 07.(btw this is and 06 w/07 air cover. Go to zero TPS, and when unwinding tickover screw, can't get below 6.1 ??? Reinstalled EcmSpy + drivers, I believe cable is good. I can fetch maps & eeprom info. Once in a while com 4 timesout. |

I had a similiar issue.. but I could not get it below 2 or so. I keep turning.. guess what happens... and yes its a pain to get that re-treaded with the tiny spring on the end. I would suggest pulling your airbox, inner air box and base plate.. then you can actually see how far to turn it out. Then reset the TPS (this is what I ended up doing). Also, helped me better understand what was actually happening.. As for the Timeout.. check to ensure that all the connections are tight. I also recall that sometimes I would get that message when toggleing between online/offline etc..... but everything was actually working. HTH |

Actually.. I happen to be in the garage with ECMSpY.. If I am in online mode with the key on and kill switch hot.. everything is good. If I turn the key or kill switch off with ECM spy in online mode.. you get a time out. I would think this is normal. If you take if off line before killing the power I don't think you see the timeout. (Message edited by gamdh on April 05, 2008) (Message edited by gamdh on April 05, 2008) |

I had the same problem with reseting the tps. It would bottom out above zero. To get it to zero, I would turn it (idle screw) ccw until the number stopped changing. I then turned it cw until the number would rise. I then turned it ccw again and the number would go down. I kept this up until the tps hit zero. |

I kept this up until the tps hit zero. To get it zero, do a tps reset at a fully closed throttle. That's the case the tps reset is made for, to align the tps 8bit readings with the throttle position. I was just following the manual's steps. But, now that you mention it, your way makes a lot more sense. Thanks. |
