Anybody buy and/or use this service? It seems like a lot of value for $25 when
compared to the AAA RV/motorcycle upgrade. Planning a couple of long
trips this summer (as long as gas isn't too ridiculous) and have found from
previous experience that my best chance of not needing any tow service
(in addition to good PM) is to sign up for it.

I have towing coverage though Progressive ins that covers break downs needing gas etc. I forget how much it was but IIR it as cheap.

You might want to take a peek at the Progressive fine print. I had the roadside assistance deal with them a few years ago. The one time I tried to use it for towing (my BMW, not a Buell of course) - after an eternity on hold I was told that they could not find anyone to tow me "out of season". This was near the third largest city in the United States in October! October is the best time to ride!

That's what I'm afraid of. The promise and
the price sound great. It's always the small
print that gets you.

I have the AMA MoTow coverage with my membership. When I took my spill about a month ago, I didn't have the card with me, but my wife was able to call from home to arrange the tow. It seemed to go pretty smoothly, with a tow to be on site within about an hour of her call. I had a couple buddies show up within a few minutes, so we canceled the tow truck. Seemed like it would have worked out well though.

I just recently saw a thread on this very subject in another forum, I think it was ADVadventure rider. Quite a few folks suggested this: http://www.rvroadhelp.com/rvroadhelp/ Apparently this covers ANYTHING your driving, RV, car, truck, rental, motorcycle ect and they will tow it as far as you need to go all for $75 a year. A bit more than your $25 but it seems like a heck of a deal.

Well, the small print with RV Road Help (Allstate) says $75 the first year. Still, it covers a lot of vehicles while the AMA
plan, actually $64 when you add the $39 AMA 1-year membership fee, just covers bikes. The AAA plan is $101 for RVs and bikes.

I'm gonna go with these guys as my Progressive policy doesn't seem to have much in the way of Towing security yeah they offer it but..... just as a back up I'll get these guys service as well

MoTow offers free towing up to 35 miles round trip. Just don't break down too far from home and you will be good.

A couple of guys on the Adv Rider forum are reporting they used them when broke down far from home in different states and had no problems getting help. The one guy who couldn't get a tow truck was actually in his home state. Go figure. I guess it depends on where MoTow has contracted with local affiliates.
