Looks cool, but i would be concerned about scratching her up off road +1. Looks like a Ducati Tiger to me, no off road intended? You'd probably have to shell out some $$ for those signaled guards even in a minor mishap I think. Slick but impractical. Gimme that front fender for my Uly though. | ||

Needs some fork boots and handguards, but that dirt monster is really cool! I'm betting that inner rear fender would not be long for this world if you got anywhere that those knobbies would be a factor. | ||

How's it that different from the Strada? Or am I missing something? I would take a Multistrada anywhere that bike would go???? :confused:  and has anyone looked at your barkbusters lately? I think the spokes and more off road friendly tire sizes would make it a better candidate for off road rubber. It would need less plastic, more bash plate, cost half as much and weigh 100lbs less before it would consider it "dirt worthy". I think it's the same trend as SUVs. Make them look "beefy" knowing that they will never see off road use. When was the last time you saw a $45,000 Hummer at your local mud hole? When was the last time you believed a modern Land Rover could actually finish a Camel Trophy?  If you want a "dirt bike", buy one. If you want a street bike, buy one. If you buy a bike that claims to be both a dirt bike and a street bike, it will either be good at one and bad at another. Either that, or it will be marginal at both. I think you guys are being a little hard on the bike. If the fairing works halfway decently and the front wheel doesn't weigh a ton like it looks it does, I'd consider it as a General Purpose Standard good enough for anything you could throw at it on the road. Same as I consider my Uly. Some of you guys love the Uly for it's prowess in the twisties, some like the distance comfort, some actually ride them off paved roads. Mine shines even with bags and two up hammering along crappy 1.5-lane roads with holes and loose pavement and you name it. That's why I bought it. I think this Duc sits more with the standard GS and Tiger and the Ulysses as do-it-all standards. I don't see "dirt" for it much. And it's a heck of a lot better looking than the Strada, not that looks matter, of course... | ||

That's the point, X. They've added components that SHOULD'VE made it more off road friendly, yet it isn't any better than the MS. I wouldn't take this bike anywhere that I wouldn't take a MS or Uly. So why potentially reduce the road manners of a bile by giving it a smaller width rear tire and larger diameter front tire for no real gain off road? | ||

Looks to be a 160 rear tire? Wider tires are nice but not always necessary, my brother is scary fast on his KTM Adv with those skinny things they put on it... I still see "General Purpose" written all over it. There's a reason the GS kicks butt in sales in Europe (maybe here too). I wonder whether it'll price under the Strada? Ducati will probably sell lots. | ||

"A waste of a good Ducati" I agree with this statement. I take my MS anywhere that this "new" version would go. I don't need a 19" front with ugly ass spokes to help me. Without seeing the front end directly, I can't say whether I like the styling better or not. We all know how controversial the current front end is. From the side it looks too Tiger-ish to me and I hated that bike more than my Uly. Where the heck did the single sided swingarm go?
