Has anyone found any good highway pegs to put on the Uly so as to be able to stretch your legs on long distance rides? Some thing that can easily be put on and removed? |

Now thats just freakin funny. The look on her face pretty much says it all. One minor problem with the forward pegs is that they would most probably bolt to the engine. The engine vibrates at a different freq than the rest of the bike's chassis. Rubber pegs maybe? |

The Uly has highway pegs built in! Why do you think they have frame pucks for? Just rest your feet up there, works for me. |

Do you suppose that he's using a carbon impregnated mask in case of out-gassing. |

You could mount them to the engine roll cage that we are never supposed to mount because it disturbs the interplaner rubber mounted bushings and the time space continuim. Forward pegs on an adventure bike, get off and stretch. ;) |

I fabbed a light duty set of pegs that mounted in the threaded, welded nuts that the chin fairing attaches to. This was on a Lightning but should work on a Uly as well. The pegs are not symmetrical but work for some relief on long slab rides. |

ft bstrd,, ya, 30 years on em. Reason for wanting pegs is that I am leaving on July 18 for Alaska, for those of you who have never crossed the interior of canada, there are 2000 miles of flat straight roads, not much to see except more flat land. My 08 uly just got here last friday, never had one, never rode one, just trying to get this set up for the long haul. I will probably set something up myself, as they will be removed once I get the the canadian rockies. |

I had a KLR650 that came with highway pegs and thought it was crazy to put those on a DS bike - damn if i didn't use them on those long all-day rides, with these long legs of mine, they came in handy. |

I just dangle my feet off the pegs when I want to straighten my legs out. That's the advantage of a tall bike. |

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,339270,00.html Woman Goes for Leg Operation, Gets New Anus Instead A German retiree is taking a hospital to court after she went in for a leg operation and got a new anus instead, the Daily Telegraph is reporting. The woman woke up to find she had been mixed up with another patient suffering from incontinence who was to have surgery on her sphincter. The clinic in Hochfranken, Bavaria, has since suspended the surgical team. Now the woman is planning to sue the hospital. She still needs the leg operation and is searching for another hospital to do it. |

I'm dangler too, but you have to keep am eye out for the bridge gaps and seams in the road or you wake up real fast when the shock sinks a 1/2 inch and your toes dig in at 75!!! HELLO!!! I'm awake and no longer feel the need to stretch out my legs anymore. |

Highway pegs? Isn't that what the rear seat is for? Just slide back and stretch out. |

I just stand up and ride for a few miles when the legs need a stretch. Anything you hang on the front is going to mess with cornering clearance surely? |

ft bstrd,, ya, 30 years on em. I figured as much. The only thing I have seen that was remotely workable was Rubberdown's modified bicycle elbow rests, but they were attached to the jug guards on his BMW. Buells are sport bikes and minimalists ones at that. There aren't many "highway pegs" available for sport bikes in general and even less that are available in a temporary fashion. Add to that the shortened wheelbase, and there is simply not much room for your legs to stretch out forward. Taller folks do the lean forward lay your legs back on the passenger peg thing. Shorter folks pile up a hunk of ass on the seat and let their legs dangle. Highway pegs and Buells just don't seem to mix. I think you are SOOL |

Fats, I ditched the guards and the leg rests because leather does just fine right on the jugs. They don't get that hot. DD, the pegs I fabbed for the Buell just screwed right in and out of the chin fairing mounts so when I was done with the slab I'd take them off. It took maybe a minute. They were pretty short too. Just a little peg to hang the boot on for a while. |

My knees kill me on longer rides and I need to stretch frequently or stop and walk around. i was thinking of a set of folding pegs screwed to the muffler's spoiler mounts as well. You all can laugh all you want but they ain't yer knees. Any pics of anything? |
