Problems/Miles (Please be specific): | 1735 miles/Feb 9, 2007/none 1844 miles/Feb 16, 2007/none 2313 miles/Mar 16, 2007/had bad vibration/shudder at 2,500 rpm front motor mount rubber looks cracked. Dealer wouldn't fix. I'll try again later. 5400 miles/Nov 30, 2007/Did a TPS reset. Smoothed it out nice again. Had low speed surge and was a little rough. I think it was reading 7.2 or 7.4 instead of 5.4 Used ECMSpy and a cable purchased from jmhinkle. 5625 miles/Dec 25, 2007/front fender bolt vibrated off and lost. *Note to self - pick up more loctite* 2 of the back tail bolts were loose and 1 fell out, but was still inside the plastic wheel well, when checking how to install the BackOff, earlier this year. (Heh, still haven't installed it.) 6670 miles/Apr 21, 2008/Running great. I installed the Backoff a month or two ago. Everyone I've shown says, "yeah, that get's your attention". If someone is following too close for my comfort, they get a few flashes. It seems to work as most will leave a little more cushion afterwards. However, still idiots out there that won't backoff. I also installed the 2008 Clutch cable wireform bracket. 8250 miles/Aug 5, 2008/none 9198 miles/Sept 2, 2009/So few miles, so sad. Did I win the record for the most miles on a tire? I just changed both tires to Dunlop Roadsmart, but haven't ridden it yet. I gave up on Dual tires. This just isn't an offroad bike and the sand in New Mexico just makes me dump it a couple times. I added grease to the bearings, which were all great looking. Only one had a very tiny amount of black specs just on the outside edge of the grease. Also, talk about bad quality control; 2 were pretty low on grease, 1 was pretty good and 1 was full. I filled the 3 up with extra grease and put it all back together. 9384 miles/Aug 8, 2009/Wow these tires are way better to me than the D616! Seems more grippy and the ride is so much smoother. |
Other Mods/Misc/Customization.: | Mine came with the 2006 low seat. HVMP bar ends (nice!) BackOff XP tail light flasher. 2008 Clutch cable wireform bracket. |
