1) How does the idle vibration compare to say, a new Harley Dyna? My main concern being able to get use to it, although I just spend a day riding a new Harley Lowrider and actually enjoyed it.  2) I would like some opinions from pillion riders dealing with climbing on the seat. My wife and I are not getting any younger.  I know the thing to do is go for a test ride, but in this area you practically have to buy the bike to be able to go on one. Quite frankly I don't think a 20 minute ride tells you much, I'm trying to find a place that rents them. Thanks in advance.  | ||

probably a little shakier than the brand new dynas, but not as bad as my old ironhead. put it this way you will never wonder if its running. | ||

They have good rubber engine mounts so they don't vibrate so much as shake. The way my wife and I get on the Uly, while on the side stand, I stand at the front of the bike and hold the cross bar for balancing. She gets on first as if she were riding on the front seat. I move to the side and she slides onto the pillon. Then I lift, sometimes manually, my right leg and slide on in front of her. We are both in our fiftieth year of being and really enjoy riding the Uly together. | ||

They vibrate a bit more than the Rubber mount Harleys at idle, but a lot less at highway speeds... | ||

Thats right! Enjoy it! The thump, shake rattle and roll of a 45 deg V twin push rod motor built in America is a wonderful thing to enjoy. Can't imagine not having one in the stable as it seems this venerable motor embodies all that motorcycling is..... | ||

My wife is 5'-2" (and 37 y/o)and the passenger pegs are too high for her, especially if the side bags are on. She uses the rider pegs to get on and off. It is still tricky, but it is very comfortable once she is up there. I am tall enough to be able to hold up the bike securely (from the rider seat) while she gets on/off. The wide side bags definitely make it harder. | ||

I get on first then she uses the passenger pegs to get on. The vibrations are only at idle and low, low speeds. Buells like to have the RPMs higher than you would normally be used to on a HD. |
