>>I have a 08 blue coming in 2 weeks any screen suggestions for 6'4<<

You're big and strong and you don't need a windscreen.

I've gotten 10 years of great service out of my Parabellum tall windshield. Trim with a saber saw and/or stack phonebooks on seat for best fit.

My favorite screen of the 3 I have tried is the Cee Bailey +2.5. I also have the stock and a ZG screen.
I am 5'10", and have found all three to be noisy, but hey it is a "naked bike" and wind noise is part of the experience.

Too bad Cee Bailey stopped making the shorter screens because people couldnt seem to get them mounted correctly, and have them fly off.

+1 on the CB +2.5. By far the best screen for the Uly. Bidding on mine starts at $300.

Long term report on 16" CB with slot cut in it:
About 50% less noise/turbulance than unmodified. I use molded ear plugs all the time that take 80 MPH noise to the level of 30 MPH noise. There is still some wind noise from below the helmet caused by the low pressure draw created behind the tall screen. The slot took a lot of that away but it is still present and noticable. I have been thinking of enlarging the slot slightly ( maybe 10% )and seeing what difference that makes. Over the winter I used a neck/helmet gaiter for temperature control and that stopped all the remaining noise from below my helmet. The large screen has done well at speeds in excess of 100 and offers a large area of wet weather protection. As for buffeting and causing head/neck fatigue from wind pressure, there is none unless I am riding with my face shield raised completely up in town or in stop and go type slower traffic, then it acts like a scoop and tries to raise the helmet. In hot weather I put the stock screen on and live with the noise it makes.
My helmet is a Shoei RF1000.
Due to a digital camera melt down with the card in it that has pictures of the mod being done and finished, I cannot post pics. If anyone is interested, PM me and I will send dimensions etc for the slot. The screen has been on and off for the past 15 months with no structural problems and I am fairly well satisfied with it. It is not perfect and other than stock, I have used nothing else to compare it to . My height is 6' on an 06 with stock seat. The air flow from the top of the screen is just touching the top of my helmet in the area of the vents & by slouching down less than 1" I can get completely out of the air flow.
Hope this helps.
PS...the other CB with slot broke in half when the bike was blown over by the wind in Alaska. Other than that, it worked just fine.
Good memory Gme

"The large screen has done well at speeds in excess of 100 and offers a large area of wet weather protection."

That sounds like a pretty good deal for cool weather riding.

"excess of 100"

Now, what kind of an example is that?Oh, you must have ment 100 deg. not 100 mph

I installed a Parabellum 26" on my Uly 7/26/07. The extra struts make the windshield pretty rigid and after driving in a couple of rain storms and high winds in Montana, all I can say is, so far so good. My only issue is the amount of rain that gets between the flyscreen and the inner windshield. I now keep a small piece of foam insulation for those rainy days and slip it between the flyscreen and windshield.

I'm 5'9", had the stock '06 seat lower 1.5" and ride with a 25" Parabellum and a ZG screen.

The windshield debate depends on your type of riding. I currently have the Parabellum on the bike, but I'm taking off Friday to do a Buffalo Run Rally in South Dakota. (www.glmc.org) Friday I'll travel 650 miles to get to the event, the event will be another 5-700 miles, then another 650 miles to get home.

When I get back home, I'll probably change to the ZG. Which is fine for shorter rides, it takes the wind off the chest and keeps the head in the clean air. This is good for me when the temps are in the 80+ range.

When it starts getting cooler, the Parabellum goes back on.

Also, I have done 6 back to back 1,000 mile days with no windscreen at all. (CB broke during first day of a 7,000 mile event.)

I thought that my shoulders and neck would not be able to take the beating from the wind, but to my surprise, they were no worse than the rest of my body. Actually they were in good shape compared to my lower half.

Anyway, get a larger windshield for cold or long distant riding. Get a taller screen, when you want the wind off your chest.

All of the above assumes you ride with a full face helmet.

My setup is same as Bienhoabob's except for a 28" Parabellum. Use the Parabellum fasteners for the ZG.

Chrisgrant,
In "excess of 100" was done completely in the "scientific & experimental" mode and is not to be condoned or encouraged on public roads.
Is that a good enough disclaimer?

With the amount of air the big screen stops 100 degrees is not even an option, more of an evil thought.
