My '06 Uly is ready for new tires and I was thinking that since 99.9% of my riding is on the road I would get something different than what came with it. I live a few miles from TWO and virtually all my riding is in the mountains. has anyone used Bridgestone Battlax 021's on a Uly? Any good experiences with another tire?
Thanks.

Ditto on the Pirelli Syncs.

5300 miles on my Syncs. When they wear out, that's what I'm putting back on it.

I'm happy with my Avon Storms. They feel noticeably more planted than the old Dunlops, and they don't have the same mid corner head wobbling. Admittedly I haven't been riding too hard since I got back on the road after my accident, but they feel really good to me nonetheless. It's a shame I didn't see you out today. I'd have let you take them out for a spin.

Metzler M3s seems to work ok on my Uly if you are doing mostly road traveling.

Remember when you have the tires replaced that the front axle is reverse threaded.

Pirelli Diablo Stradas. My Uly is very happy with them, and lets me know it!

Conti Sport Attack front and Road Attack rear. Stick like Avon's and last 11000 miles for the rear. Two rear per front.

I have used the Avon Storms and really liked them. The new dual compound is great.

I will buy them again after my Cycle Gear Stradas are gone.

My last 2 Bridgestone experiences have been bad, so no recommendation here.
Note that I never tried them on a Uly, though. I changed the rear dunlop for a Pirelli Scorp Sync, and am very happy. It is not a dual sport tire, so don't be afraid of it.
I tried the 021's on the Ducati ST2 I used to have, and they were horrible. Handled fine when new, but the rear only lasted 2500-3000 miles, and the front cupped badly and caused vibrations under braking. I used Metzeler and Pirelli tires on this same bike with no issues.
I would vote against the 021's, though a friend of mine likes them on his BMW RT1150.

I've been running the Sync's, can't see any reason to go to anything else, they work great!!
