I was packing for my trip and was unpacking from a previous trip. I had packed in my Small LLBean "adventure duffel".

To make a long story short, the LLBean bag is a PERFECT fit for the Uly bags. It fills almost all of the bag leaving just enough space for a pair of sandals.

FYI.

Steve,

Thanks for that; that's handy info. I wonder if they make something that'll fit in the rear box too?

I use the light duffles from Rider's Warehouse. Same thing. Cool to know there are options.

I've only got the side bags, so not sure what size the top box is.

Yup. size small. Put it in the bike side of the saddle bag half w/ the black bottom facing out. Then sandals in the outside half.

Worked better than the dedicated bag liners I've had in other bikes.

The Extra Large Aerostich Zipp Sack is also a perfect fit. It is light weight nylon, but has been holding up great for close to six months of daily use, plus they are only $17 each.

Stuff it as full as you can, and it is a perfect fit!

+1 on the GraniteGear XL zip sack. They fit perfectly in the bags and are cheap!

Not waterproof, but who cares?

There are plenty of the Genuine Buell liners as well if anyone wants them.

Court, where? I havn't seen them yet. I've been thinking about getting the Hepco&Becker liners, and the above alternatives are more cost effective. However, your post above is the first I've heard of Genuine Buell liners.

there is absolutely no info about buell liners anywhere. I wouldnt mind some if they arent too expensive.
If there are lots of them, maybe we can get a good deal at homecoming : )

We have been talking about liners for close to a year that I can think of and there has been no mention of the Buell liners. I believe someone found the HB inserts first and others have been finding good fits since like the ones mentioned above. Where exactly are these illusive Buell liners?

My apology.

I misread and thought it was the S-3 inner liner. I missed the Uly.

Has anyone checked with Andy Goldfine at Aerostich about making Uly liners? I'd be happy to make the contact. How coolwould that be to have a set of ballistic Aerostich Uly liners?

If Andy at Aerostich makes them, they will probably be 200 dollars.
I like the 17 dollar option myself.

This is what I purchased for my side bags. They work great and the Twisted Throttle people are great!

I also ordered a spare latch for my bags, just in case one gives up : )!

Hope this helps.

By all means . . buy what you feel best about.

Certainly not like you were buying safety equipment.

The one thing I DO know . . . if Andy makes them they'll be great.

No doubt, you could probably drag them to your destination if Andy made them.

"from the looks of his pads, I'd say he kept up for a half mile or so."

I've had other bag liners, cheaper stuff sacs for my Jesse bags, and "Kathy's Cordura" bags for my BMW RT (from Bob's BMW). The RT liners were very well made, but honestly the fit wasn't that amazing.

The LLBean duffle worked way better than any bag liner I've used to date. If you're thinking about it, try one, if you don't like it return it. LLBean makes a big deal about their return policy. : )

Not saying that a pair of custom fitted $70 liners wouldn't be nice. Just don't see a strong need.
