Coming up on 30,000 miles, it's time to replace the shock. Does anyone have experience with replacement shocks for the Ulysses?

I've gotten a nice reply from Wilbers; anyone have experience with them? Others?

Thanks for any help.

I'd pm Chadhargis, he did a Wilbers rear shock for his track day.

For the money, I'd put the stocker on again. It is a great shock for a reasonable cost.

Chad says good things about the Wilbers. They have a pretty good reputation from all that I have heard.

Is the shock leaking? If not just make an adjustment. You can adjust compression and rebound. What else is there?

the damping fluids will be mulch at 30,000. It emulsifies and they dont work as well.

rebuild or replace are the options.

The rebuild-ability of Ohlins is partly why they are so good.

The stock shock can be rebuilt. I just had mine done. $120 the first time around. Can also be revalved.

Ed seems to be a smaller shop, but the service was great.

Hi Dave what do you mean it emulsifies and doesn't work as well. This is a new one to me on any type of shock.
