THe Stockers have about a 1 1/2 drop in them.

The TT pegs have about 1/2" drop in them.

The Powerpegz have either a standard (no drop - like the Crossroads) OR a 3/4" ~ 1" drop. The mounts are reversable.

Unless you have jungle legs, you will not notice that change of a 1/2" or so. Maybe it's just the fact that I'm still young and dumb or the fact that this bike seems like a barco lounger compared to my race set up SV.

But check out the Powerpegz website. It should hows to flip the mounts.}}

I bugged Jim from PowerPegz for a while to make a peg for the Uly. Another BadWeb member
even loaned them his stock footpegs to help them design the mount.Unfortunately, nothing came of it and he stopped answering my e-mails.How about if someone else calls or mails him and gives him this link? His name is
Jim Scala and e-mail is jim@powerpegz.com

Straight from Jim Scala at PowerPegz...

Mike,
we looked into developing them for Buell and actually worked with the Buell Riders Group. Due to the complexity of the Buell Mount location, it would require us to lower the pegs by 2" and made for a really complex peg assembly that would have been at least $50 more expensive than the current design. The cost of the casting molds were cost prohibitive because of the design and we decided that for the limited market, it did not make sense at this time. Sorry to disappoint you.
Best Regards,
Jim

I guess we are out of luck here. I will probably get the V-strom power pegz and hope for the best.

Let us know how those V-strom pegs work. I like the Power peg design.

Paochow,

That is the kit that came with my front plate.

It used two rubber backed clamps to attach to the horizontal rod that connects the motor to the frame.

One side of the rod moves with the engine, and the other side doesn't. Maybe your install will go better than mine did, but on mine-the vibes were more with the kit tied to the rod.

Please let us know how it goes.

Treadmarks,

Tried the mounting kit, no dice. Vibes were stronger, felt them in the levers/bars at the 3-4K RPM range. Quite a lot of crap to put on as well.

Ended up hacking off the mount like you did. Seems plenty strong, and no extra vibes. }

I found the stock levers don't really work with the TT footpegs. I bought their shift lever, but the brake lever(pictured with the right side peg in the footpeg picture) is
being redesigned now and is not available.

were you able to ride with the TT pegs with the stock levers if you adjusted the positions or was it impossible?

I rode with them for a few weeks. They work just are on the low side. One of the guys on Advrider cut and welded his stock lever at an angle to fix the problem. I like the TT lever, as it has a metal tip and folds. I wish the TT brake lever was available as it is still about 1/2" lower than I would like it.

I just got through installing a set of crossroads on my uly, and I am very happy with them, the look is awsome, the feel is good, and the position feels good to me right now, no problems with the levers at all, adjusted both a bit and they feel great. This is deffinitly an improvement over the stock pegs, keep in mind I have a 29inch inseam so the loss of the drop is really insignificant to me.

Just curious Cavi, but how do you touch mother earth with a 29" inseam and the Uly's height?

My friend has the same inseam and is airborne on both sides of my 06 seat.

I have the 06 low seat and the 07 on order, and I touch the tips of my toes and that is about it. Not much different from my dirt bikes.

I bought a pair of the touratech foot pegs and put them on with their shifter and brake levers. They do have slightly less drop than the stock, however they protrude forward way more than the stock pair, shortening the distance between shifter and the peg to an intolerable distance. Even with the shifter adjusted to its shortest position. I have size 13 shoes and ungodly long legs.
I really wanted to make this stickier footpeg work so I spent about five minutes with a grinder, and cut the front half of the footpeg off.
No long rides yet but so far it seems good. Undoubtedly more grip available which was the big issue in the first place.
Cutting off about half the material from a $100 item might seem wasteful...but it works.
Sorry, but I'm too busy to figure out how to post pics right now.

Solarbri, wish I had thought of that. I was disappointed that the TT pegs weren't even close to stock offset. I had to buy the TT adjustable shift lever but even fully collapsed it was still too long so I cut about 1/2" off both pieces to make it work. Touratech had the stock dimensions right in front of them. Why they chose to push the foot pegs forward is beyond me.
And now with the shorter shift, finding neutral is a hit and miss proposition. It might be time to get the sawzall out.

I think it's time to bust out the ol' Dremel and customize the stockers. If anyone has done this already, please post a pic. I have an idea of how to go about grinding points into the existing raised grooves, just want to see if anyone has done this, and if it was effective. Man, I wish I had the equipment to forge my own, and market them! I could be rich! MWAHAHAHAHA! Rich I tell you. (about 3 people would buy them.)

Has anyone bought/installed the rubber-topped XB footpegs? I saw a set at the dealer, but didn't want to try them without asking around first. They have to be a little better than the stockers too.

I think some folks have sunk screws right into the stock pegs for more tracking. Another option is skateboard griptape. Some track buddies use it and it works well for no-slip in normal conditions. YMMV in mud. :P

Touratech--what a-holes! I got their peg set up with adjustable shifter and pedal as well: I think it's a practical joke.

Don't waste your time with a Dremel. These pegs are aluminum, so anything you do is just going to be worn away in short order.

My left peg is polished better than the chrome on some HDs.

Ft_B found some track spikes that look like the way to go.

I can barely reach the pegs, let alone the ground, so if my feet slip off, where are they going to go? But, if my legs were long enough, I'd be going the route of the track spikes.

I dig the crossroads pegs as well. A simple adjustment to the levers and all is well.

How about small, short sheet metal screws installed with Lock-Tite?
