While my Uly was in getting the BAS relocated (it had already been replaced a few months ago which eliminated my stalling problem)I had them check out the excessive vibration. A few weeks ago I had almost decided that it was just the nature of the beast...then I went riding with 2 other Uly owners. I switched bikes with ETennuly and wow, what a difference. This was how I remembered my Uly running during the first 1,000 miles or so. Rough idle, sure, but smooth as a baby's behind when cruising. Rev his up and it smoothly returns to idle. Rev mine up and it would shudder like a paint mixer as it passed 2000 rpm's. Well the dealer called me today to say they took a new Uly out along with my bike and they too noticed the excessive vibration. They have ordered a front motor mount to correct the problem. The new mount, in combination with the BAS fix and the electrical problems that went away when I replaced my battery a few months ago should bring my Uly back to tip top shape. I am ecstatic about having my bike back! Just in time for spring riding! To those with excessive vibration problems, ride another Uly. |

I don't think mine is excessive - it certainly vibes more than the 07 Firebolt I had last week. Will follow up now. cheers dd |

Mind did vibrate a lot, dealer replaced front isolator and problem went away. I did notice the vibration stronger with the tank full. |

Orange, you be riding this weekend? I'm gonna try for either Sat or Sun but can't do both. Glad your vibration is in hand......oh wait.....that can't be right. (I need more testing of super secret nearly patented windshield project. Remember, don't tell anyone about it yet, its classified.) |

I'm going to have to have them check mine. Starting 3 rides ago, I have this horrible shudder at 2,500 rpm everyday now. The entire bike vibrates bad. Just at 2,500 rpm though. Which is where I used to cruise in the 2,000 to 2,500 range. I've tried to adjust the primary chain a little looser, a little tighter. It won't go away. I have about 2,313 or so miles on mine. Sounds like the same problem. It didn't matter if you were riding or sitting stationary, when it passes that RPM up or down the entire bike vibrates violently. Mine was replaced too because the round rubber cushion in the front cracked and I happened to notice it while I was servicing it. |

That is exactly what mine does. You can be sitting and rev it up right at 2,500. Or while riding, it happens in every gear at 2,500. I'll tell them to order me a new one and see if they will. I'll also go check if the bolt is tight |

Look at the rubber in the mount to see if it is cracked. |

It's super tight, it won't turn. I don't really notice any cracking, but there's a slight gap at the top side of the mount. Maybe it's crushed and not spongy, know what I mean? |

Yeah ah do. Good luck with that, I think it will fix your problem. |

Okay I got the flashlight out and yes, there is cracking on both of the inside edges where the bolt goes through. That's probably the problem. Right side view Left side view

Yep. That is what they look like when they are bad. I didn't see the one on Orange's bike, but I rode it and he said they were looking like that. Mine was not near that bad and they changed it. |

Mine went at about 10,000 miles, Orange had somewhere around 3000. Yes for warranty fix. |

I currently have about 2313 miles, but I'd say it happened at about 2100 or 2200 miles for me. Let me run out and check the build date on the VIN. May 2006 |

Buellinabg,I think my vibration started as early as 1,000 miles. I didn't get it fixed until about 2700 miles because I thought it might be all in my head. I rode it today, my 2nd time after getting it fixed, and man do I enjoy it. This is the bike I fell in love with. My shake was at 2k rpm and it felt like a paint shaker in action whenever it passed 2k. It was also rough at all rpm's. This was fixed under warranty. Good luck. As a note for those who have followed my electrical problems I have stated that I have had none since replacing the battery late last year. After stopping at the Hd dealer today I pulled out and noticed I had no speedo. There is still something flakey but restarting the bike clears it so for now I am good. |
