I decided to do something a little different with my Uly and have it painted Voodoo Blue. I am really happy with how it turned out - especially with the Lightning fender. Now I just need that Micron pipe from Al to really make blue the fastest Below are some pics of the finished product along with my inspiration.
My new FJ Cruiser was the inspiration

Thats cool! I love those FJ's. Waiting for the hype to die down some so I can get one too. The sun fusion would go great with My Uly!! |

Looks nice. Wonder if the plastics could be dyed that color, instead of painting. |

That is pretty sweet! When are you going to have the wheels powered coated to match? So what is the advantages / disadvantages of dyeing vs. painting the plastic parts? |

What kind of stand is that? |

The stand is the Baxley sport chock (http://www.baxleycompanies.com/) and it's a very nice product. I bolt it in to my trailer for trailering and otherwise I just leave it in the garage, ride the bike up on to it and get off. I assume that dyeing would be stronger than paint, but I thought that had to be done at manufacture time (maybe this will be a 2007 color ) I'm thinking that blue wheels would be too much blue, but maybe someone could PS one of the above pictures to see. |

Homer, Hmm, I like it. My wife ordered a yellow FJ about a month ago. |

Homer, if yer just talkin' photochoppin' go all the way with blue wheels, seat and luggage. Then you could audition for the Blue Man Group. |
