I also checked the SC out at Bike Week. I think I will get one in 2025 for a 70th BD present to myself. FWIW, they claim low 20's price.

We'll see about price. So many people have responded positively to the bike in Daytona, that I think the price will go up by the time it's ready for production. I've already heard rumblings about the price hitting $25K.
They'll have to put a much quieter exhaust on it, cover the exposed drive chain and hopefully, put a protective guard in front of the radiator before it hits the market.
I already know what changes I'd make when I get one. Hard bags, a Mustang Wide seat, more comfortable handlebars and a more colorful (but not gaudy) paint job.
I see this as the bike the MoFoCo should have built, instead of the V-Scrod. Sometimes, the corporate weenies at Hardly-Ableson excel at shooting themselves in the foot.
I wonder if a set of bags from an FXRT would go right on?

The 47 Ronin. That must have been a fun project to work on. I don't mind the cruiser but this bike really scratches my itch. There an ointment for that? |

Beauty pageant winner, no. Engineering oddity, for certain. The Vincent 4 bar front end along with an old YZ ish fork mounted radiator. What can I say? It's beauty is it's weirdness. To Each there own though.

I was watching a video of the FXR guys over at H-D turning a Pan America into a "performance touring bike."
The opening line in the video description says: "FXR Division transformed their 2022 Pan America Special into a one-of-a-kind, mold-breaking custom build."
So as I'm watching it I keep thinking it looks somehow familiar ... Then it hits me: this is TOTALLY a ripoff of the Buell Super Cruiser!
Take off the fairing and everything from the seat to the handlebars to the gas tank. So much for their "one-of-a-kind, mold-breaking custom build."
Sad thing is while the Pan Am is rapidly becoming a flagship bike for H-D the Buell still has 25hp on it...

FWIW, if I'm ever in the market for this kind of bike, I'd definitely buy the Buell Super Cruiser! |
