I'm (still) working on sorting out parts for my 05 XB9SX to reduce the clutch effort, and am planning to order a new spring fairly soon.

I know the 05 XB9 & XB12 have overly stiff clutch springs, and the 06 XB12 spring is softer than the 05 XB12.

Is the 06+ XB9 spring the same as the 06+ XB12 spring?

I'd like to get the part number for the weakest spring that will hold an 05 XB9 motor with a race ECU & Buell Race Exhaust.

Yes, the 06+ XB9 and XB12 clutch springs are the same.

If no one has mentioned it to you yet, check out replacing your stock ball and ramp clutch actuator with one from "Mueller". It'll be at least 20% lighter pull.
Mine works great for me, installs in 10 minutes

I installed an '06+ spring and a clutch lite ball and ramp. The clutch is now a two finger affair. Got the spring and gasket from American Sportbike.
