My 2009 Buell 1125 service manual (dated 08/08) calls out two different torque values for the 8 mm allen head bolts which mount the rear caliper to the inside of the aluminum swingarm.

Page 1-29 states the torque range is 18 to 20 ft-lbs (24 to 27 Nm).

Page 2-46 states the torque range is 23.5 to 26.0 ft-lbs (31.8 to 35.3 Nm).

For the 1125, which is the correct torque range to mount the rear caliper to the aluminum swingarm?

I do not want to strip the threads in the swingarm and I wish to avoid having the rear caliper bolts come loose as they could start rubbing on the spinning rear brake rotor…presumably could lead to locking the rear wheel.

I do mine at 20 ft lbs.
