Nice looking bike Brian.

If you want to know a secret on how to bring your OEM wheels back to looking almost new, go to the OLD SCHOOL BUELLS section of BadWeb, then S2 Thunderbolt, then look for the threads on wheel cleaning/polishing.

My tuber wheels look fantastic after using California Custom Products products and Maas. Expensive, but really does the job!

Welcome all to BadWeb

Thanks for the tip. This winter it going to hibernate and be reborn. 1000 grit and some alum polish will go a long way. Other bits too. Def need a set of xb rocker covers. I've finally pieced together the FI that will go back on. I too am amazed at what the mythical "Previous Owner" can do in short order. Imagine.. a bike that weighs about 400 and has 70 LbFt and 85Hp, somehow needs to be lighted by removing 10 lbs of almost irreplaceable plastic. scratches head.

Signman, welcome to BadWeb.

Have your battery load checked by a trusted battery shop.

And, when you shut your bike down, always shut down with right control kill switch, then the ignition. That way you avoid any parasitic battery drain.

Hello again, Badweb.
My name is Travis and I was here for a brief period quite a while back...been off two wheels and out of commission for a while.

I'm looking for a Badweb member I met at March Badness. Can't remember what year it was...dude rode a badass S1 White Lightning. Can't remember his name either....he sent me some parts and I owe him some $ and an apology.

Sometimes shit goes sideways and I hope he understands.

If this post jogs anyone's memory, or you know of a hate thread with my name in it, please let me know.

I want to find this dude and make it right. Thanks.

That is my bike Travis. I sold it a few years later. I do remember it rained just about the whole time of March Badness that year.

I was not aware at the time but I was pretty sick and I can't remember what parts you are talking about.

If it was in fact me then do not worry about the payment, stuff happens and there is no bad karma going your way from me.

Frank

Hi guys. I'm new here, just signed up. I've been around Buell bikes since the day my father bought a brand new 95 S2. I learned to ride on a SV650S, rode a 76 CB750F SuperSport for a few years and finally bought my dad's spare parts bike, also a 95 S2. Most enjoyable bike I've ever ridden and glad I can help keep these things on the road.

Frank, Travis,
Makes me feel all good today. I was so busy looking at the bike I missed the story line till today.

I have the XR1200 and soon to buy a XB12XT touring on the XR is not easy for 2. Going on a tour of the USA 2018. The XB12XT will be my ride of choice.

I made a few passes on the Tail of the Dragon and not passed once. I guess I had a good day. Not bad for just turning 60

I've always said a motorcycle should be single cylinder. Kick start only. No belts, shafts, or computers. Windscreen? No!

Well, I survived all that. And... bought myself a '08 XB12XT.

Anyone out there in need of Buell parts. Let me know. I have a list of obsolete Buell parts that I can send you with good pricing. If you have a Harley too I have a listing of parts that are priced to move both oem and aftermarket.

Hello all, I'm new to the BWB forum, having looked around on the website it looks like I should jump in. Currently live in Northern California and looking for other Buell riders in the area to ride with. I currently own a 2000 S3T, Demon Blue and all factory except for the Penske shock, This is my second S3T. My first was an Amazon Green S3T purchased new in 2000, loved that bike, sold it to buy a 2004 Fatboy and then a 2008 Roadglide, learning from experience, I should have stayed with the Buell in the first place, I'm back on the same bike, different color this time, and only 9,000 miles on the clock. Best to all Bueller's and ride safe!

Thank you Court and Canario.
Looking forward to all of the conversation and tech tips.... who knows.... I might even buy another S3T just because I really enjoy them so much, I have my eye on a local one that has the florescent orange frame and gunmetal paint, the price is fair as well. Not sure if most buellers know that there is a company that still sells all the parts for the early Buell, called Vintage parts, they don't sell direct to consumer, most HD shops in my area know about them.
