It has been the best vehicle purchase I have ever made... backed up by the fact that I have owned it longer than any other in my 37 year driving history!!! I absolutely love it. Thanks Eric!!!!

Hi all,

I agree Deerhunter17. I have a 1125R and ride to work everyday (that I can) and it continually puts a smile on my face. It's going on 22,xxx mile now.

THANK YOU ALL for this forum!!!! It has helped me out countless times! I though it was about time to contribute some of my info as well (I work on the bike with my brother).

Hello, bought my first Buell today. A 2008 1125R with a mere 9K on the clock. Got a lot to learn about the upkeep and the handling. Been riding for 45-years, so this aint my first rodeo. I will use the search feature and try to minimize the redundant (stoopid) questions. :-)

Hey Badwebverse! Last night I acquired my first Buell -- a clean 2007 xb9sx! Badweb helped me know what to look for and what questions to ask. Thank you!

A couple weeks ago, I bought my first Buell...an '07 XB12X with only 3 miles on it. The owner of the dealership put it in storage in '07 and it sat there until now. I've already started the break-in procedure (which feels weird for an '07 bike) and performed the first two oil changes at 40 and 260 miles.

You guys/girls appear to have a really good community here. It reminds me of the folks at the drriders.com forum which I frequent for my DR650.

Welcome Ramman! Nice find!

Keep it fed the best oil you can get it, it is a pretty oil demanding engine architecture.

Hello everyone, I'm James, 38, originally from the great state of Texas and now living in Arkansas. I'm looking to buy my first motorcycle and have decided on a Buell XB of some kind. Either a Lightening or a Firebolt. I'd prefer a Low since I'm 5'9" with short legs but I believe I can make due with a non Low model.

I hope to find a bike and in the mean time, educate myself as much as possible onall things Buell and becoming a safe rider.

Anyway, love the site and keep the shiny side up everyone!

I just bought my first Bull, which also happens to be my first bike!

2005 XB9R Fireboat, 6700 miles, one owner. Bone stock except for double bouble windscreen.

I'm super stoked. Now I just need to learn how to ride. I actually had a buddy ride it home for me. He said that everything checks out on it. Shifts and runs smooth.

I also got the owners manual and spare key that still has the red plastic covering on it.

See if you can find an MSF course somewhere nearby... learning the basics from pro's will build great habits that will make you a better rider faster... easier to just learn right the first time than unlearning and relearning.

It's an easy job to do.

That's some very serious riding you've been doing. I'm envious. Hopping the railroad tracks and climbing the bridge overpass embankment constitute the pinnacle of my adventure rides lately.

Thanks for stopping by to say "hey."

Hello! I am in NJ and about to buy a 2009 1125CR. I have a question for you guys! I am 5 foot 7 inches and the seat is rather tall at nearly 32 inches. Any guys near my height riding this bike? I read the suggestions not to lower the bike and have the seat redone but I wanna hear what you think! Thanks I can't wait to ride this beast. My other friend rides a XB9S and is saving up for and EBR soon.

I thought there was a "sitings" section, but had trouble locating. Saw a yellow Buell on 95south in New Haven, CT on Friday around 5pm. And Sunday saw a red Uly in Somers CT (chili completion). Good looking bikes.

Hey folks, Mike in Florida, formerly from NJ.Just wanted share my ride today and give a big thanks to DaveFl a fellow Buell rider who happened by when I broke down today. Hooked me up with some ramps to get my X1 home. My battery isn't charging so I was headed to webster looking for a some Buell parts. I found none! I had my friend in route with a truck and cables, to hopefully jump it once more to get home, but no luck. Dave rode by on the maiden voyage on his sweet S1...my friend had been just telling me his cousin had a Buell. As it turns out Dave had just bought it from his friend, which is my friends cousin...small world!!! Still was a great ride!!! Thanks again Dave!!!

Hi all, Dave here from Dublin Ireland. Have my 07 Uly close on 2 years (15000 miles) now and have to say it has been a blast apart from a few (well documented) hiccups. Can honestly say have not seen another one on Irish roads.
Will be looking for some advice from you guys over the coming days. Thanks in advance...

Welcome Mike and Raven!

Never been to Ireland, but a relaxed exploration of my family ancestral home on a Uly is about as neat an idea as I could think of.

Hello to all

I am a 64 years old Englishman, living in England's smallest town. I am fairly new to this forum malarkey so be kind to me.

I have just bought a 2009 Blast, kept for me in Texas by my brother. I plan to ride it either through all 48 States of mainland USA or Key West to Prudhoe Bay. Or, I might do both in consecutive years. I know that a Buell Blast would not be first on many people's list of touring bikes but I believe I have the pedigree to do this.

I have owned and ridden dozens of bikes over the years and estimate to have ridden in excess of 150,000 miles. I have motor-cycled in USA/Africa/Europe and Nepal. I currently own a Yamaha TMax on which I rode 6000 miles through Central and Eastern Europe in 2012. I have motor-cycled already in the USA and am really excited at the prospect of doing so again.

In my 40's on the American leg of a Round-the-World cycle adventure I pedal cycled from LA to New York with my (then 17 years old) son. At other times I have driven a motor car in the USA.

It would be really helpful to learn any tips on Blast maintenance and repair as I plan on being self sufficient in my forthcoming adventures. Cost control is important as I am a poor old age pensioner!! Also, if anyone knows of an alternative to the Ventura rear luggage carrier/rack I would appreciate being learning about this.

My regards to all reading this,

Jim Gibson
