Hey yall, my name's Bill, I'm in Atlanta by way of Connecticut. Currently riding an 03 SV1000S, but looking to replace it with an XB12S or 9S. I've had my eye on Buells for a while now; hopefully I can find one at a decent price soon and get a livable insurance quote... Who knew an XB12S is considered more hi-po than an SV1k?!

Just bought a 2008 Ulysses (formerly rode suzuki DL1000) and a friend turned me onto this site. I'm into all things Buell and into gathering all the info I can. I'm sure I'll revisit this site often and look forward to learning and possibly contributing if I have anything worthy to add.

john reid,
I ride an '06 Ulysses and have a riding partner who recently bought a DL 1000. Boy is he kicking himself in the ass! We call his bike the blue whiner. Of course, he makes fun of my fan but what the hell. Loud fans save lives.

Welcome aboard guys . . . we are thrilled to have you here.

Careful about "gathering all the Buell info" you can. I did the same thing, starting in about 1988 and it kinda got out of hand.

: )

You're gonna have a ball. . . .jump in and enjoy.

Hey, great site! So happy to have found you guys. I like my Blast, but am already looking forward to upgrading to a little mo... I still can't get over how lite the Blast feels after my 650 Yami.
Much to learn...

Makin my hello's, drove my 05 hd bagger to vancouver island last year from maine, the year before , newfoundland, this year Alaska, but, being deprived of the many awsome dirt roads being on a bagger, this year it will be on a Uly, and I CAN'T WAIT! So, I will have many questions, and stories to share if anyone is interested. thank's for buell specific site, i am sure it will prove invaluable. just another obsessed adventure tourer.

Hello from Western Maryland. I have a Sportster (ok quit laughing) with the Buell top end. I'm not sure that I can add much technical value here but I'll provide the cheerleading and support. Thanks for having me.

I started out as a mountain biker, but last summer I was work 2 to 3 jobs at a time. Plus I was traveling long distances between them. So I got my first Motorcycle to find some enjoyment in my commutes.

A month to the day I bought my first bike a cheap 2k Zen Shen, and a ton of research I purchased my Buell Uly.

Now I'm an Buell/Bike addict, and one of my winder jobs is pretty much dedicated to advancing my Uly. I not quit Bad enough to ride my Buell in Ohio snowy 0 degree winter weather, but I think about it every day. I have been accessorizing as much as I can instead. I getting heated gear up now: to get my bike back on the road here in March.

< Another new guy.

I've got my sites set on the CityX, one ride, thats all it took. I used to work at a dealer, I've ridden them all, tube frames, XB's, the Blast, 9's, 12's, etc. etc, and I just had more fun with the SX.

Greetings BadWebbers!

I'm new to the site, and fairly new to the Buell community. I bought my first bike, a 2007 Buell Blast, in April of 07. What a great bike! Well, I got hooked so I upgraded to a 2000 X1 which is what I'm riding now. The Blast is for sale, listed in the Thumper Classified section to anyone who is interested.

I'm always looking for people to ride with, so if you're interested in meeting up around the Omaha, NE area shoot me a PM or email.

Just rode home on my first Buell. What a ride. Pompano to Key West at Sunset. Stopped at Hog Heaven for dinner in Islamorada. Bike rides and handled the South Florida traffic perfectly. It was good to know, that with only 25 mi on the ODO, that I could jump onto the shoulder to avoid scuffing the front tire on a wrecked car and have fun doing it should the need arise.....

I had a great experience with the team at Rossmeyers/Pompano Harley too. Looking forward to what lies ahead on the open road.

Look forward to reading the archives.

There was a posting somewhere about the 1125R alarm system and I just wanted to share some knowledge from my recent delivery. If you decide to set a PIN code, DO NOT LOSE IT because according to Racine H-D it can NEVER be recreated by anyone!! You would probably have to replace the ignition. Suggest read owners manual carefully cuz there are some other nuggets that are exclusive to this rocket. Swat I got for now. CIAO...

I've posted a bit on the BB&D thread, but figured I'd get to here. I ordered a 2008 Uly after 3 years of lurking and making excuses of why other bikes made more sense.

Ridden Stroms, KLR's (still have it), DR's, Tigers...but eve since my first demo ride of an S3T years ago I've shopped Buells.

Thanks for all the info and enthusiasm of the site...looking forward to reading more and contributing when I can.

Here's to many trouble free mile from my soon to be home Uly (12 days and counting)

Buell Blast in long distance rides

I am planning on purchasing a 2003 buell blast as my first bike, and wanted to know if a buell blast will do fine over long distance rides from Seattle, WA to Portland, OR as well as through the mountain passes.

Hi all,
Just bought a 05 xb9r in need of a little work. Mainly tlc but the last owner removed the ecm before the bank needed it back. I have located a ecm off a 03 model #BX9US20CB060. Does anybody know if this will work? I dont want to mess up his ecm and I dont want to waste the money if it wont work, just trying to stand this thing up and feel the breeze. Thanks for any help.
