Time for my second set of tires. I'm going to try Michelin Power RS, if anyone is curious.

I have a rear stand, but not a front one. I do my own tires, so I do want to get both wheels off the bike, and I'm not in a hurry to spend another chunk of change on a front wheel lift.

Of course this wasn't an issue with XBs because you could just jack the front of the muffler, but I'm guessing that's not an option with the EBRs.

Has anyone figured out a way to do get the front wheel off without a front stand?

If you’ve got a garage, use a couple of ratchet straps from the handlebars to a rafter.

Yep...second on the straps.
Though a stand is better. Don't cheap-out..!

Get a front stand that fits in the steering neck. MUCH more sturdy and that way you can twist the fork legs for wheel removal, or even pull the forks off for a seal job (one day).
Once you get one, you'll wonder how you lived without that cheap tool!

I've used an A frame ladder before.

Just to close the loop on this one, I decided to get the Venom stand recommended by Terrys1980, and can confirm it worked perfectly with the included number 17 pin.

Wow, it's been quite an adventure getting these tires switched-out, but it's finally done. Tomorrow I ride!!

Thanks for the help and encouragement.

FYI you don’t need to take the front fender off, just the top bolt and the scoop holder tab.

Maybe clean your caliper while you have easy access.

SX's don't have the brake scoop.

That Venom stand is exactly the one I have for my SX. It's works without removing the fender but I had to put foam around the small support tubes so as not to scratch it.
