Just a quick preface, I currently own a 2008 1125R and a 2014 HD Fat Bob. I've got the 1125 paid off, but still owe about $10k on the Harley, that thus far I've been unable to sell. The local dealership where I picked up the Harley from was also an EBR dealer (one of the only ones in Missouri, no less). They STILL have a 2014 SX, brand new, sitting on their floor (it was just delivered when I picked up my Fat Bob back in 2014, still in the crate).

Here's my question... With all the trouble I've had trying to get the Harley sold, would it be worth my time to see what kind of a trade-in deal I can get on the Harley and pick up the SX? If I did get the SX, I would probably end up selling the 1125R... Also, what would be a good "starting price" to come in at? I saw people prior to the liquidation getting their for $7500 or less, would $6500 be too low / high?

I know there are a few issues with the 2014's, and with the company being liquidated, would I still be able to get the "upgrades" for the 2014 to make it like the 2017 model?

I'd think it'd be a pretty good bet a Harley dealer would be glad to take a Harley and get rid of a 3-year old EBR. You can look on Cycle Trader and find quite a few new 2014 RX's still for sale. That'll give you an idea of the range of asking prices.

LAP just announced they're liquidating all the EBR parts (see post in this thread for link) so future parts availability is up in the air right now. Hopefully some EBR enthusiast or company will wind up with many of them and be willing to warehouse them and re-sell them in the future.

The EBR 1190 Owners Group on Facebook is trying to work out a group buy of parts from LAP right now. You could figure out what spares you'd like to have on hand and stock up now.

Yeah, after talking to them, they refuse to come down from $9500 on a 3-year-old bike with no warranty, no parts availability, and issues from the factory. I can get a 2017 model down in Texas for that price or less.

Gonna keep the Buell, and try to sell the Harley outright again.

My local EBR "dealer" wouldn't come down from $13,500 for a 2014 SX. Really. I laughed my way out of there.

I got my SX from Blake at Dallas-moto if thats what you're talking about.
I was SUPER happy with the deal, the transaction, and the delivery.

You can find new 2017 EBR 1190's which DO have a warranty, even now, for less than $10k.

For reference, I picked up my '15 SX last July for $10k from James @ Action Powersports, then added a 4yr dealer warranty for another $1k. I was happy with the deal.
