106.9 degrees yesterday on the way home from work. My RX didn't seem to like it much (neither did I !). Seemed to run fine, but the check engine light came on with a "New Engine Fault (or Code)" (whatever that means) comment showed up. No low rpm missing, or running odd, just the code.

The code was gone this morning.

Is there a "skip spark" on the rear cylinder of the EBR bikes?

^ I doubt it; that was specifically for the air-cooled engines.

The 1125s can skip spark too, I haven't torn into the EBR ECM to see if it is the same.

Hmmm, like I said, the engine ran fine, even at (5) stop lights after getting off the freeway...NO missing. Yes I do understand that.

Looked, no codes, current or historic after letting it cool a bit and checking, including the check engine light and the "New Engine......" comment all gone after about 45 minutes for dinner...

All was well this morning, and since.

My RS went into skip-spark one day(95F) on a crowded freeway crawling at 30mph.
Idle was choppy, ran fine under load tho.

Ran fine 15 minutes later when a light rain came by.
