While I don't hate the headlight on the sx, I am not a big fan.

I was wondering if anyone that knows things about bracket fabrication, wiring and electricity could tell me if replacing the sx headlight and upper fairing with the xb equivalents is practical.

I am picking up a used sx this weekend.

I meant for the title to to say XB-S to indicate the headlights from the Lightning series XB's.

Not many have went from newer to old style lights but there are tons of threads on putting CR lights on a Lightning. (Which actually looks pretty simple) Reading these threads should be a starting point. There are some threads on the other forum that have good pictures.

The Lightning headlights will likely draw more amps so fuse might need to be changed.

The wiring shouldn't be difficult if you can use a multimeter. Be sure to solder/heatshrink the connections and do not use butt splices.

I found the one of the threads. It doesn't look too complicated.

Thanks Terry
