Well, the parts aren't helping anybody sitting in a warehouse.

But they certainly are helping those EBR owners out there that were pining to get their hands on some items!

Kinda good news, so does any one have the part number for the RSs magnesium hubless wheels? I would really appreciate that info

Does anybody have a parts book for the EBR bikes or a IPB on line somewhere?

The parts books can be found on Af1's site.

No magnesium wheels are listed on LAP's site.

It appears the link to the list has been taken down; hopefully they're just updating it. You can still get to the list here:

http://www.liquidap.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/EBR-Parts-Catalog-for-Online-1.xlsx

Interesting listing starting at line 742:

list

I'm betting these are the complete but unshipped bikes that are sitting at the factory. No prices listed, and I can imagine you'd have difficulty registering one in many if not all states. Still, it'll be interesting to watch to see what happens with them.

No magnesium wheels are listed on LAP's site.

Actually there is one variety of Magnesium wheel listed. Unfortunately it is the old Buell (and later EBR) race offering of the XB front wheel in Magnesium.

Not the hubless wonder,

I spoke with a few people at LAP; here is more information:

1. The list was taken down for revisions, but most of what was on there is in fact for sale.

2. The complete bikes are not for sale YET. LAP stated that they intend on conveying a turnkey business, intact (which almost contradicts with parts listings, unless the intention is to provide access to our needs. I am going to assume it's an honest help to us.)

3. The orders are a very manual process. Your request will be pulled, weighed, shipping quote will be placed, and then they will contact you with the final price and availability.

I hope this helps clear some confusion. I am off to look at some microfiche and build a few kits for myself!

The EBR mag wheels became unavailable because there was none available and no reasonable way to get more at anything like a price anyone would pay. A retail price of a few thousand dollars with a cast in "not legal of street use" would scare off most people.

At this point, you'd have to buy a complete RS to get magnesium wheels.

There simply is no remaining supply of OEM wheels to be had.

EBR Mag wheels were made by PVM in Germany. They are still available, but very expensive. I bought a set in 2010 and they were around $2,000 each I think, but they are the same wheel used in Motogp by many teams and amazingly light.

Stevel are you referring to the hubless mag wheels? If so do you have a part # or point of contact? I tool a tour of EBR back in 2012 and after seeing first hand how light the wheels were i just had to have a set. That front wheel paired with the sicom carbon rotor offer by Twin would be a really nice combo.

Stevel,

You are referring to the race team mag wheels, not the OEM RS wheels. Those were not made by PVM.

The EBR hubless mag wheels were so rare that they started pulling them off RS's to put towards the racing efforts. Both the 1190RS carbon editions bought through NRHS came from EBR with aluminum wheels.

I heard that the hubless mag wheels were so light, someone left a door open at the factory one day and they all floated off...

I do remember being flabbergasted when EB handed me the mag front wheel + rotor setup from the RS at the Craftsman Experience in Chicago for the 1190RS reveal. Ridiculously light, especially compared to the twin disc (gsxr?) setup that he had there to compare it too. Maybe half the weight. Shocking really. Then Tony explained the new way of casting (ablation) for the wheel, and I was way out of my league.

This wheels are a really poor choice for street use. They really are racing wheels. They are totally cool however.

Ed from EBR dealer AF1 Racing reported on EBRforum.com that the radiator manufacturer for the 1190's told them they have ~500 radiators in stock and that if they don't unload them soon, they will go to scrap.

If you have any interest in buying a couple for spares, check the posting there:

Hughlysses,
So who is this manufacturer and how do we contact them? Those radiators will go a long way to solve the 1125 heating problem.

Its possibly a California based company. When I ordered a set of radiators and oil cooler last year the dealer I bought them from said they were getting shipped to them directly from the manufacturer. No I'm not talking about EBR. The order form said they were coming from Cali, I thought it was funny because I live in San Diego. I thought why would it say its coming from a state we are in? lol. The only radiator manufacturer that comes to mind in CA is Fluidyne. I find it hard to believe it would be them though since the radiators say made in Taiwan.

So who are the radiator guys? I will buy a set. They will go a long way to solve the 1125 heat issue.

The wheels I referred to are the race wheels, not the hubless.

We'll Af1 racing just confirmed its not Fluidyne so I have no clue who the maker could be. On a positive note there are about 20 of us that Rodgeres up so far for a set over at the EBR forum. Go to the (Who wants radiator/oil cooler sets thread) even better news is that its $200 for a set! (And they are getting extras) Thats L,R radiators and the oil cooler. The set i bought when EBR shut sown was at full price, I spend over 1k. With the radiator set going this cheap all 1125 owners can convert to better cooling for a real bargain!!! and even get spares. And yes the parts all fit,I'v spent over 2k on full price parts to back up my claims.

Af1 said the manufacturer had 500 radiators that 500 each L,R and 500 oil coolers. They wanted to get rid of them asap or they will go to the recycling bin. The horrific seen of all those buell parts in dumpsters back in 09 made my Rodger up for 4 sets and ill possibly get another set on top of that.

Dennis,
I'm pretty sure they are not plug & play. In fact the ii25 pods are the problem, much more so than the radiators.

They are indeed not plug and play and require some rather extensive modifications. The L,R I-Bracket's,L,R radiator brackets and associated hardware from the RX will be needed the old K-bracket's will need to be ditched. Along with the RX radiator set you are also going to need all the hoses/ oil lines along with the left and right thermostats, fans, and radiator ducts. The stock side exit front header will need to go and be replaced with the straight down design of the RS or RX. There is a small amount of material that needs to be removed from the engine case, its on the location where the old oil cooler was mounted(EBR does this at the factory on the RX) (any RX owners out there can take a look and see what I'm talking about) the point of this is to create clearance for the front header. I have everything mocked up at home already and its all looking good, the only thing i need to do now is reroute the ecm some where is it will not be able to mount in the stock location. I have some pictures of the project but not all, i wont be able to take new ones until I return home from deployment. The most expensive part of this mod was the radiator sets, the rest of the parts were relatively inexpensive. With the possibility of having the radiator sets for $200 a pop... Well just makes this mode more approachable, the main issue now will be the time required to do the mod since its not exactly something quite as simple as changing the oil. I was going to wait until I finished my project to start the thread but I will actually do it asap and include everything I have done and learned so far including parts and pics. I started this project back in 2012 unfortunately I had to wait for ever for those pesky radiators to be available.

Correcting the 1125 heat problem is a MAJOR job. Even the stock RX setup is not ideal. The biggest advantage a V Twin has is its narrow profile. Those radiators just kill the bike's lines. In addition all air flow through the radiator must vent to the outside away from the engine and fuel. To do that will require all new mounting brackets, body panels, shrouds, fan mounts and other items, which must be mocked up and then fabricated. Further to this end, I don't believe there is enough room between the engine and front wheel to do this. However, to move the steering head forward will change the wheelbase, which Erik did not want to do, hence the compromise. Big job!

Update on the radiators and oil coolers: Ed from EBR dealer AF1 racing says they ordered "3 pallets worth" of the radiator/oil cooler sets on ~4 February 2016, and they should have them available for sale within a week or so.
