Just so I'm sure... I've looked everywhere I can and I see no breather tube to re-route out of the airbox?

Leave it as is, you are not going to make the system any better..!

When the engine get LOTS-A miles (100,000+) on it, then figure out something cute. Or just do it right and put new rings in it...

The arrow points to the piece where the crankcase and cylinder bypass hoses are routed to...
