Got my first mod done today. R&G tail tidy. Using the stock turn signals until all the legal stuff is done. Still haven't registered the bike or got an inspection tag.

Waiting on the secondary muffler delete kit to come in.

I like that. Source?

What muffler delete route are you going?

Tips are here and ready to ship, waiting on the ecm. I've got a few on order.

Amazon for the tail tidy and delete kit from Dean.

I ordered both the R&G and PowerBronze brands to see which one I liked better.

The R&G was $60 more but is better engineered and has thicker metal. I will likely sell the PowerBronze for what I paid for it. $85 shipped

I was originally going to get the ECM from IDS and get tips from a local shop but IDS shipping cost was $20+.

For $3 in epoxy and a few minutes of cutting and trimming, the stock setup is a much better price point...without looking bad at all.

Working in the manufacturing industry, I find it interesting so many people will spend so much...for so little.
Those brackets with tail lights are probably $20 to $25 to make.

But...then whine about supposed high shipping cost on something that will actually do something good for their bike..!?!

Mike - I'd rather keep the stock piece intact and $20+ for shipping an ECM??

Dean - what are they made of? Curios if the edges could rust. (I am likely over thinking this)

Are you reselling IDS ECMs?

Thanks

Fresh cut, wiped off with a shop towel. Not really deburred much in that pic, that's why there's fuzz on them from the shop towel.
