Figor- Geoff May and Aaron Yates were dropped by EBR this season. There is an all-new team; Larry Pegram (former AMA Superbike rider) is one rider and team manager; Niccolo Canepa of Italy is the other rider. I believe the crew is mainly guys from Larry's AMA effort. The WSBK EBR's are looking much better so far compared to last season.

You can follow the WSBK discussion here: http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/158 664/397914.html?1424778966

Geoff is currently planning to compete in the Daytona 200 race as a privateer. I don't believe he has anything else lined up for the rest of the season yet.

Didn't know that. That's too bad I like Geoff on the EBR. Yeh I was checking WSB and saw Pegram got some points. TBH I'm not sure Pegram will be much better then May.

I'm not sure Pegram will be much better then May.

We've had a lot of discussion about that. What Pegram brings to the table is a complete, experienced race team AND a television show. My guess is his much-better-than-last-season results last weekend are chiefly due to improvements made in the bikes during the off season and the fact that this crew understands EBRs and how to set them up. Larry did manage a 14th place finish with only limited practice time and despite the lingering effects of a nasty stomach virus which is no small accomplishment.

Canepa on the other hand is a very talented young guy with experience on the WSBK tracks and other manufacturer's bikes. I won't be surprised to see him finishing in the top 10 shortly.

We are happy to see the new team and the great success they are already having, and at the same time sad to see Geoff no longer a direct part of the program.

I hope he has great success wherever he lands, he is a great guy and did a lot of great work for EBR. We were lucky to have him.

Geoff will be racing at Daytona on a Yamaha R6. Private team supported mainly by fans. If you are interested in supporting Geoff, go to his facebook page. You can make donations through Go Fund Me.

EBR was very fortunate to have Geoff and his skills. He accomplished precisely what was hopes over his contract. We owe him a debt of gratitude.

Some of you recall my predictions during last year .... They were not guesses

Geoff played a major role in the history of EBR and the term "dropped", of course, doesn't really reflect the gratitude folks at EBR feel for his contributions.

Since there are no teams other than privateers in MotoAmerica, they might do well to field him there in superbike. Just saying.
