Continuation of earlier article on testing the 1190RX at Indianapolis plus some rumors about future products:

Great article. The EBR has so many elements that make it worth the price. A quickshifter really would have been the icing on the cake. Its missed in this company.

The reality is you have a bike that turns in quicker than anything else on the market, that in street trim weighs less than the R1,CBR,RC8R,S1kRR,F4 and RSV4, with more more power and torque than all those bikes throughout the Rev range up until about 10K when the I4s catch up and rev out an extra 3k rpm or more. The EBR redlines at 11.5K the same as an 1199 S and produces almost the identical peak power while killing the Duc from idle on through the midrange only just falling short on the topend. Only the Zx10r and 1199 are lighter and only the 1199 and S1kRR make more PEAK power. All that with out a getting cooked to death on the street.

To top it all off the power delivery of the 1190RX is akin to the traditional ole school V2 twins like the 1198, Millie and RC51 but with similar or better top end power to the I4s. That means it has to be ridden like those bikes were to maximize the power. Wringing it like an I4 works for the 1199 but not for any other twins I'm aware of, certainly not the RX.

I'm looking forward to more shootouts!
