This Saturday, White Horse Press is going to have their annual Open House. There's going to be free food and more bikes than you can count. They also sell neat gear as well as publish cool books like 25 YEARS OF BUELLS.
If you're in the New England area, I seriously advise you to try to attend. You can ride the Kankamagus Highway to get there; which is worth the trip alone.
Last year, I took the Interstate north to save time getting there, but then I took all secondary roads home; which made for a wonderful afternoon.
There's a thread on ADV Rider that has some pics; here's a link:

Oh man!
I can't make it.
I would love to do that.
When you're there, check out hurricane mountain road.

this road is relevant to your interests.

I should be there. It's the day before we take off for South Carolina, so we probably won't do a whole lot of ridin' around after...I've got 10 days of monkey butt coming as it is....

More pics from last years festivities.

Only 2 BadWeber's in NE going? WTF??? Well, Crusty, look for the Blue Uly with an antenna on the back....looks like I'm riding up with a bunch of cruisers myself : (

Planning on hitting the Hurricane Mountain Rd. for the trip back. Hard to beat the Kanc though, the hairpin is the only place I've managed to get a peg down on the Uly! Of course I was still in my 30's then....

I'll be there. I'll be "camping" up in the sticks of Colebrook NH and riding down from there.

Cool! Looking forward to meeting some other BadWeber's. Just a hint - get there early. They are estimating a significant increase in attendence this year. Plus, if you get there early enough you might get one of the "factory second/damaged" versions of the book 25 Years of Buell for $3.00. I'm still trying to find what's second/damaged about my copy.

It looks like there'll be a few of us there. Terri and I will be riding up. I'm on a red XT and Terri rides a Cherry Bomb Ss with a black airbox cover and hard saddlebags.

There was a batch made with the wrong paper, they almost didn't have them ready for homecoming. Perhaps this is the batch with the wrong paper?

I'll be there on a black X.

I picked up my "damaged" copy last year, but I had to pay $4 I knew I should have waited a year

FYI...I hear that ME 113 through Evans Notch is closed due to a bridge out.

Froggy - "Perhaps this is the batch with the wrong paper?"
Not sure, the paper this book is printed on is a high quality coated stock, probably about 110 lb. text.

Skiaddict - "FYI...I hear that ME 113 through Evans Notch is closed due to a bridge out."
Bummer, I was thinking of heading up 113 after coming across the Hurricane Mtn. Rd. and coming back down from Bethel...I'll have to plot a new course me thinks. It seems like I've got quite a motley crew following me up now. 2 heavy cruisers, 1 SV 650, 1 TL1000, and 1 unknown.... I hate leading a group ride

Yeah, I was planning to do Hurricane Mtn. Rd. and then up 113 on the way back to Colebrook. Bear Notch Rd. is supposed to be in pretty good shape. I might do that instead.

Terri and I went to the Open House yesterday, and had a good time.
We rode the Kankamagus Hwy to get there, with a brief stop for a photo

There were a lot of bikes there; mostly BMWs, but some neat bikes, as well.

I really liked this Norton

And this Triumph was beautiful, as well.

The line for food

We saw two Ulys (a blue '08 and a black '06) and a Cherry Bomb Scg. I only got a pic of the Blue Uly

We left around 1:30 and rode mainly back roads home. It was an excellent way to start the Riding Season.

I made it but was so late that I missed the food!
I got there half an hour before they closed shop.
$2.50 per copy of the Buell book seems reasonable : ) I bought three.

My ride included Hurricane mountain road, Cathedral rock, Bear notch, some of Kankamagus.

really had a great time : )
I have to resize my pics before I can post them...

We got there around 1:15 and just barely got some food. I ended up buying some new rain gear. Good thing too 'cause we hit some pretty heavy rain up in Berlin on the way back to Colebrook. I saw someone with a "Loud Fans Save Lives" t-shirt, but didn't get a chance to talk. Even with the rain it was great day.
