Hi all

About to rebuild my s1 engine and need help. The engine is fitted with 3 3/4 american aircooled cylinders and wiseco pistons, which rings do i use xj or xh wiseco rings, i am getting conflicting advice. The top of the pistons have xh on but i thought this was related to exhaust port arrow about which way they should go.
Also whats the best squish to run on these with thunderstorm heads.
Any help would be appreciated.cheers.
Toff.

Wiseco says XJ for Nikasil bores (AAC's) and XH for steel bores.

Toff,if you go to this sites "knowledge vault"section you can do a search on the word squish and read quite a bit of info on the subject.I'm not sure if the wiseco dome angles are the same in that area as the stock style thunderstorm pistons.Aaron Wilson would be the guy to talk to,he,s around this site on weekdays,i don't know about weekends though. He,s in business with Nallin Racing.
