Practice....start out small and work your way up. Don't try to do a stand up at eighty or anything just yet. try bouncing the front wheel off the ground if you have the torque and work up from there. (practicing is really hard on your bike by the way or any wheelies for that matter) |

Nothing safe is any fun but what im looking for is actul how to. where do you start from is there any set procedure to follow? i can get it up in first on throtle alone from a roll but im not exactly sure what im doing and it seems really ruff and i guess im afraid im doing somthing wrong and afraid im gonna flip it again. Which really sucks even if it is a rush! |

Get yourself a small dirt bike to learn how to wheelie. Trying to learn on a heavy street bike is just asking for trouble... you WILL trash your bike. |

Ditto....my personal introduction to REALLY being able to do anything other than an exercise in terror, came on a KLR650 (good, used about $2k). If you MIND turtling the bike, it's not the one to practice on. |
