Happy BDay, BWB! That is too cool Blake. I really appreciate everything this board is and has done. Without it a large par of my Buell experience would have been more like more ho-hum makes. Thanks to all the contributors - and thanks to Blake! -Saro |

Happy Birthday, Badness! I haven't been through here in quite some time due to the fact that my business evaporates most of my time, but I happened to stumble back in today. Thanks for making a virtual den for Buell dorks to nest in. Where's the restroom? Jon |

I think I found this site about 3-1/2 years ago (I should have a look...) and it was one of the main reasons for actually buying a Buell. I'd ridden a couple some time earlier and had been toying with the idea, but hadn't done it. One of the first messages I read was Aaron putting up a formula to work out compression ratios, and Ferris spinning out. I really wish I'd saved those posts because I was in stitches reading them! Since then I've done basically the same as Rocket. Been to different countries and met a LOT of really cool people. So I'd like to say, Thank you Blake!

....can't believe Blake left off the kxkidd!!! (wasn't that his name?) hahaha ...and to think of some of the more memorable threads...Wish we had some of those older postings. JOsh brought me over here from the Sportster list where I was hanging out with my XR1000 but obsessing over a 99 S3 with the new frame...Sep/Oct 98 I think. DAve ...a lil east of St Louis in the flatlands of IL (11 curves in 318 miles) |

Without the support and information from the folks on this site, I'd have never bought my second and third Buells...nor would I have ever been dumpster-diving in Brooklyn. Thanks Blake, and all the others who make it happen! r-t |

Newfie: Blake's equations, in an odd human sort of twist, tend to be "in-balance" more frequently than Blake himownself. It's been a FUN 5 years. Great friendships and a great resource have evolved through shared passion, knowledge and thoughts. I agree with Jose' (make a note of that...) about this site and one or two others being the definitive place for information. We've done more to help Buell, Buell owners and make the Buell ownership experience a pleasant one that any previous group or effort to date. Additionally, our communal TEAM ELVES undertaking powerfully illustrated the new power of virtual collaboration now that our intellectual bounds are no longer dictated by the presence of a shoreline. Ignoring, for the moment, the "who was the first internet team" discussion, TEAM ELVES has certainly been the most successful and the most geo/socio diverse of any, cars and bikes included. As a group, we've "rolled our own". Blake had no intent of being a web moderator; he simply had to learn to fill the need before him. Ditto Henrik on web design, Bantz with $$ and a host of others. I also think we've gone far to enhance the perception of internet sites with Buell and the Mothership. We've a ways to go and lots of the obstacles are not our doing or ours to control, but the words "Badweb" at least will get you listened to now. That's a good thing. Congratulations to Blake for tireless effort and to the rest of you for continuing to be the single largest drain of my valuable time. Court |

Congratulations Blake. You have made this great board an huge success with much respect for the people and a great feel of humor but with minimal steering inputs. You seem to enjoy the ride yourself. Congratulations for the moderators who kept helping the barque on its course during a long long time. Congratulations for Court, who knows some magic tricks to turn deepest black into a rainbow of colors, and mistrust into trust. Congratulations for all those contributors who are the backspine of the knowledge base and all the fun. Thanks to the contributors of the past who`s name are not anymore on the list: Andy Speagan (sp?) the always helpful setup guru. Lockland John, who wrote poems about Buell. Can you imagine a poem about an Hondawasuki ?? Tod, who wrote and did things on a completely different way. The student who wanted to cleanup his new bike so meticulously that he did build a lifter for his bike and immediately started to build a series to sell them. And at last: Congratulations for Erik Buell who has inspired us by means of his motorbikes to keep the enthousiasm centralized on this board. Hans |

Yeah, todd (that didn't like to wave) and Matt The Collage Kid (with the front wheel stands that would fit EVERY BUELL EVER MADE) were a trip. I miss them both. I swear that Rocket has had at least five different screen names in the last three and a half or four years that I've been here. He still won't talk about gun control. I can hardly wait for the next food fight (censorship effects your contact patch!). I'm so pleased that I've got a hundred friends all over the world that I haven't met yet. God bless all of you and thank you Blake. Thank you very much! |

Happy Birthday BADWEB! Blake should we start a physics/math oriented book store chain? We could give Court a volume discount (pun intended). ;-) Greg |
