The above pic is done incorrectly! Defeats the purpose of yhe update!
Should be a solid bolt all the way through with bushings and spacers.
My exhaust is custom but should give a good idea

Bein a machinist/fab and long time bike builder[granted mostly old HD] This y bracket set up on S1's scoot is great except for one thing, unless i missed it.. Vibration dampening to not stress weld areas, even slices of hose on the bolt would be of help.Seen way too many sets of pipes wasted due to this and improper installation. ALWAYS tight from the head out.... Also the clamps in all the pictures are used for the INTAKE on a Harley, not exhaust. There's alot better designed for exhaust joining clamps out there of any size and width, look around an remember to use hi temp copper anti-seize on the threads..My cyclone has a single flange bracket that maybe be part of the P O's installed V&H can, bein as this is my first buell,I'm hopin theres a bracket set up like this for an m2,if not the same one...Been lookin at some 3in dia.tube type car mufflers, they make em chambered like a flowmaster now as well as twin turbo, i'm wondering...lol

Hawg
The y bracket has to inserts one in each side that the mounting bokt goes through to soften the vibs but remember the exhaust is meant to move with the motor it is not mounted to the frame anywhere just to the motor

This race exhaust shoe is a great mounting solution to go with the y mount

S`1 10-4 I learned somethin on a monday! always thought mounting Hd pipes to the motor made sense but they still dont. i have been puttin rubber washers on everything for years, fat bob tanks fenders, couple place on pipes and pipe mounts.. The FLT's in the 80's had rubber inserts only on the mufflers, i know i got one with a shovel, 900 lb road boat.. i like the race shoe idea just another ugly strap, big deal...If this was a recall, i need to look into it for my 2000 m2 but from those instructions you posted, mines is not affected?.. great thread..
