Once the updated exhaust "Y" hanger is in place, is the twisted metal piece (header tiebar) that goes from oem header tab to shock mount still required?

Are there any adverse affects if it is still being used?

I always used it even though later models didn't have it.
After everything is installed ride it around for a bit, loosen it up and make sure it's sitting where it wants to be.
