Does anyone have any pics of the updated exhaust mount on the s1 with a v&h ss2r installed? I ordered one and would like an idea on how its gonna fit. I assume it will come with instructions. I recall the x1 having one and the VR relocated but im not sure it relocates on the s1.
Thanks in advance

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, please.

The exhaust mount is just going to be the Y-shaped piece with the two rubber bushings in it (as opposed to one), the regulator relocation kit was a separate item for the S1.
It's been a while but I think it stuck it outboard and below the battery on the right hand side.

The S1 voltage regulator is near the seat. It does not relocate with the updated Y mount.

I kinda thought that. I think it only relocates on the x1's.
The kit comes with the vr relocation bracket, some clamps and bolts and the new mount. It states will work on 98 s1 with oem exhaust and some aftermarket exhausts. It just seems the welded tab on the elbow is off center from where the center of the mount would be. Couldnt find a photo online but ill know soon enough.

It comes with a spacer that goes in between the wishbone and the pipe tab(s). I had to make the spacer on a couple of my bikes where I bought a used wishbone with no hardware.

I had the updated bracket with my V&H exhaust. I'll see if I happened to take any pictures of it before I switched to the stock exhaust. You dont need that VR bracket. Just toss a washer behind the exhaust mount, the instructions will show you where. It fits on the V&H fine. The rubber bushing move in the metal bracket, so itll adjust to the tab on the exhaust. Just cut a spacer out of a steel or aluminum rod to go where #20 is in that picture and you'll be set.

Copy that... thank you all.
After this, two more items to replace all the weaker links and this thing should be bullet proof : )

Does the rear end of the shock need to be removed before install? I found the instructions but it doesnt say anything about the shock. Unless thats why you put the jack under it, to take the tension off?

you just need to jack it up to get the tension off. You don't need to remove the shock.

and by jacking it up... make sure you lift it by the frame or the swingarm mounting block. Don't lift the rear by the swingarm or even the rear shock mount, because it'll put tension on the front shock mount and the bolts for the front mount won't want to come off, not to mention if it does the bike will drop.
