Looking for info on what you have done to remedy the Mikuni Carb conversion problem with throttle cables. The stock cables are a little too long. I've read that there is a bracket that fixes it, but cannot find one. It is for a 1998 S1W. Just looking for the best way to do a permanent fix. Thanks

Sudco sells an attachment for the carb end of the cable. Pretty simple and work great.

I cut back the sheath VERY carefully. I found that the Mikuni "Buell" bracket ain't worth a shit!!

Just bend the bracket backwards like Andy says.

I use a single cable and I cut the slot of the cable wheel to allow me to place it in the other mounting spot. Still has a bit of slack but will go to full throttle, and the spring is plenty strong to close the throttle.

You probably have bracket TN42/51 (big twin) you need TN42/53 (Sportster).

Hey nick, on the choke cable I don’t quite follow. Did you solder in the barrel nipple then grind it round to fit inside the nipple on the choke assembly? What type of solder did you use? I’m trying to shorten one and I can’t quite figure the process out.
