I see you are still using a belt, the arm obviously looks extended, I thought there was only one belt length available

Dude, you are rolling !!
You must have a pretty good sixty foot, that’s some riding !!

It’s a Vrod belt so we widened the sprocket. I’m having issues with the swing arm and shock like everyone suggested I would so I may do a swing arm like yours but I want to continue to drive it on the street

There are 1 1/8” wide belts available all the way up into the 146 tooth rage with the exception of 137 it skips that.
Many things use belts including victorys etc. matter if fact we use some of thede on equipment in the power plant!
My build uses a 139t

My best 60foot to date is 1.66, and yes I give it no mercy, changing the rear sprocket today hopefully from 54t to 58t to see if I can get into 5th gear before the stripe

IMHO, save your money and go metric for drag racing. Heck, a used Busa lowered to 2", a 4" over arm, a good shock, pipe and power commander with a proper map will run high 8's all day long. And you can ride it home (if your so inclined). Nice photos by the way, lots of innovations.

I love this site...

Hayabusa????? pffft.. why make things easy!!
part of enjoying a Buell is being innovative.. making a Buell/Harley run eights on gas is a challenge worth taking.

8.26 @ 162mph we're looking for 7's with some changes to the motor and EFI

Buells can go fast, I raced one for years at Bonneville--- BUT, cubic dollars as opposed to metric. My turboed 750 GSXR cost about 6000 to build, makes 350+ hp and has been nearly 240 mph. Busa is an unreal platform, trans can take over 650hp stock. Mine makes 550 and for far less than the 35000 I had in my turboed Buell that never got finished.

Can't agree more Firemanjim about the cubic dollars... it's like hitting yourself in the head with a hammer... it feels good when you stop...

I watch the 4 cylinder guys go in the 6's all day long for half the money and I see complete pro-mod operations for sale for less than I have in my motor...

but...my initial comment is still valid "Drag Racing is fun!!!"

hope nobody take's my comments wrong... It's not easy to make anything go fast or make big horsepower.. I am in awe of the Pro-street guys running 6's with license plates on the bikes... and Bonneville.. wow.. going fast there takes big horsepower but an even bigger brain...nothing but respect for any record holder there no matter what brand is between your legs..

I've extended a few steel swingarms - the easiest path is to cut the arms and "plug-in" the extension. I made a handful of the plugs a few years ago.
The most popular length (of those that would race at "Great Lakes Dragaway") for running without wheelie bars was 7". My yellow S2 pictured is 8" over.

I typically add bracing to reduce twist. If you're not adding some sort of bracing - at least be certain to start with a post-recall steel swingarm, they're much stronger. The post-recall swingarm (silver) has a curved brace at the front, the pre-recall swingarm (white) does not.

If you extend the swing arm you could very easily retro fit in a vertical r1 style shock
