has anybody got any pics of the intake manifold that was used on a twin carb race bike, were the intake ports on the heads modified for the manifold, would appreciate any info on what modifications were done...

Fireman it is without a doubt an X1frame. The S1 like the m2 came to a point at the back of the seatand had a welded on subframe. This bike has a wide end with the area to allow the X1 tank to be clamped down and you can see the rear subframe is bolted on. Nothing to argue about its still cool would love to see more pucs and hear how it is set up.

I agree it doesn't look like an S1 frame. Even if he modded where the subframe mounts, it still looks like the frame tube is bent on the right side where the exhaust goes under it. Has the removable passenger peg mounts too. I'll go with X1, but either way it's definitely an interesting bike!

I know regular mount exhausts aren't a good fit on these bikes because of the isolators and engine vibrations, but I love that exhaust on there.

I'm also curious what that thing is on the left side of the engine right in front of the shifter.

I asked him as soon as I saw that cross bar... he said he wasn't sure. But I don't know why they would run a X1 frame with steel arm. He said that frame has no vin as it was a pure racebike. He guy is pretty old now. I did ask about the steel swing arm. It's running a Penske shock. He used Japanese bike wheels and had to run the rear backwards for chain. Dual 4piston front brakes. Crappy rear brake still. Exhaust was bitchin

Somewhere --- I have photos that Chris sent us a few years ago, of the complete bike in front of his shop. I'll post them once (and if) I find them.
