I recently posted about my need for a new rear shock.
I purchased from Works Performance by phone around July 8th. Tim at sales was very helpful and I got a fully adjustable shock off the shelf that a customer never picked up for the price of a preload only adjustable shock. The shock arrived around the 16th, but without the rear bushings. Since then I have been calling them at least once a day, sometimes as often as 7-10 times a day, I get an automated answering service and have left numerous voice mails with the operator. I have also emailed their sales and technical support and received no answers. Not being one to wait for others, I have since fabricated my own bushing. The shock performs wonderful.
Google search results show they may have had a flood or the owner may have died. Today I found this on advrider.com; http://advrider.com/index.php?threads/cant-reach-w orks-performance-in-cali.1244554/
Anyway, buyer beware if anybody is thinking of using them.

Don't regret it completely yet. One post says they had a flood in their facility, another said their lead tech is starting his own shop.
We don't know what
happened yet. Remember the first three reports in war are wrong.

Good lord, relax. Don't regret anything, they make wonderful parts. I've had one of their units on my S2 for going on ten years now without a hint of trouble. If something does happen, it's still a rebuildable piece. Ride it and enjoy it.

GMD Computrack in Atlanta will rebuild stock shocks, Works Shocks and Penske shocks.

I would assume racetech would rebuild them too?
I had some concerns buying the Twin Shocks from Netherlands in case I ever needed them rebuilt, but I suppose I will just send them to racetech. Same probably applies to the works shocks.

Racetech can rebuild Works too. They charged about the same as Works did.

The problem is, according to a post on the linked to forum, that Racetech can no longer get the bladders for the remote reservoirs from Works. They presumably told the forum member by phone, that when their inventories run out they can no longer get the parts to rebuild Works shocks. I would imagine the remote reservoirs could be upgraded to another manufacturer's. O-rings, bushings and the like probably would not be a problem. But I am only speculating. What the extent of the problem is remains to be seen.

More info, it seems the owner died in June 2015 and the shop closed this July.http://advrider.com/index.php?threads/works-perfor mance.1245821/
