Has anyone found an alternative O2 sensor or a cross referenced part number for the one used on the injected tubers?

Beck arnley 156-8100 can be had for $20-30. Whichever you choose, if you cut the old connector off, solder it to the new sensor. Do not use crimp connections on any DDFI component. The resistance of the connection can cause bad readings.

Well,so far I've not been able to remove the sensor.I let it soak in penetrant for an hour and used one of those O2 sockets that are split to accommodate the wire, with a hose clamp to keep it from slipping.I used it before successfully when I ceramic coated the head pipe but this time it slipped no matter how tight I had the clamp,it wouldn't hold.I didn't want to have to pull the head pipe but it looks like that's the only way to remove it.

One thought- since you can get a socket on the old sensor, perhaps cutting the wire off and using a standard socket would work.

Unless you have some use for the old one . . .

Hope this helps, Dave

Butch,as I said above I used a socket just like the one in the image and it slipped, but thanks for the offer!

David,I don't know why I'm so concerned about saving the wire,I'll cut it and see what happens.

Can't you just use a box-end wrench?
Just feed the wire through the opening.

you will need connector off old o2 sensor for new 1 & soder on. try heat mapp gas and pencil-tip nozzle to break-free.Heat flange on header then use special socket to break-free.
