Can someone who has done one of these on a tuber let me know where the tach wire would be tapped into? The directions indicate to connect the pink wire from the tach to the green wire on the 2000i. Just wondering where others have tapped in. I haven't started yet, as the unit just arrived. I'm hoping to get the installation banged out with a minimum of experimenting, as my free time is really short.

Just following up with some observations regarding the installation of the Dynatek 2000i nosecone ignition module:
My coil was a dual spark, so the wire that taps into the tach is the bike harness pink that was initially on the coil negative primary. Easy.

Seems my issues must have been related to the original ignition pickup, because any of those issues appear to have been resolved. Now I get to play with the jetting again, as I initially thought my misfires, etc were fuel related.

The most annoying thing about the hookups, was not knowing for sure what the nut sizes were for the coil primary connections, as I used ring terminals for the hookups. After trying 10-32 and 10-24, the size ended up being 5mm. Playing with the tuning today, hopefully one of the 4 preprogrammed curves will be good.

Maybe if you post this under the regular old school section there are more people that see it!

I like to know how the outcome is of your dyna ignition install!

Which ignition did you get? (number)
And did you get only the ignition plate or also a module?

I got the D2Ki-1P, which is just the ignition plate. Big improvement in the idle and overall running, but I'm not sure if everything is right or not. The module gets powered by the positive wire on the coil, which is showing less than 11 volts when checking with a meter (ignition on, engine off). I have to see if that wire is corroded or broken some where, or else maybe just bypass it directly to the battery to check it. I also want to get a timing light on this to make sure the static timing is close to where it needs to be. Changes to the jetting are now noticeable, but I need to spend a little more time getting it dialed in...
