Im looking for a new cam position sensor for a 1999 X1 anyone know where to find one?

Isn't it the same as a sportster part with a different rotating cup?

I installed the drag specialties after my OEM melted internally and the wiring was a litt short so I had to re-route the wires a bit.

I installed my Drag Specialties replacement last night and the wires were the same length as what I took out -odd that yours were short.

That's strange. They were about 2 inches shorter on the DS, I had to move it to the outer end of the starter and pull the plug out from the harness an inch or so.

I should point out that the original and this one are both short!

The wires need to go under the starter to have any chance of reaching the plug.

So was I wrong about them being the same as Sportster parts?
