Having a couple of tubers I have a few exhausts, judging by the elbow all seem to fit on both bikes S3T and X1, the exhaust I have are: 2 stock one black, one the stainles gutted,a D&D full system a Vance&hines and a wileyco.
Right now the S3T is on the Vance&hines, the X1 is on the wileyco.
S3T is carburator and well tuned for either stainless gutted, but with the Vance&hines performs better, the X1 is mapped for the wileyco and also have a race ecm tuned for the d&d.
Now question is, any one has the experience with this exhaust, and which one would you think is better?

By the way being the S3T a 97 bike I think itt doesent have thunder storm heads, am I wrong?

Shouldn't be ts heads. Will be black if they are. Some 97's bought after Jun 1 97 were upgraded by Buell free of charge to the 98+ top.

My battle2win mags do a lot of dyno runs with the different exhausts on the same bikes to get an idea of what does what. I'll be trying to digitize them soon. Just need someone to host them.

The heads are silver, and I notice a big difference in power from the S3T to the X1.
I have a spare set of thunder storm heads, so I may decide to put them on the S3T.

I'd lend you the exhausts, I think we are to far away and sending would cost a fortune.

I believe when Reg Kitrelle (Battle2win) did the pipe test the D&D flat out kicked ass. He tested V&H, Supertrapp (came in #2 overall) the Bartels pipe a one or tow others. Each resulted in different power bands suited to the type of riding/racing you choose. I've always loved the Supertrapp because of its tuneability (is that a word?).The D&D is also pretty dang loud.

Is that exhaust shootout archived somewhere?

The D&D makes slightly more power than the full Buell Race system both in midrange torque and in peak HP. I want to say 4hp up top. They removed a bit more of the midrange hole that the X1/S3 cams introduce by using a smaller diameter pipe near the head to increase scavenging.

To my ears, and some folks here disagree with me, the D&D isn't any louder than the Buell Race system (not the Buell branded Supertrapp, which is pretty quiet, in comparison). The D&D is fairly loud, but not in an obnoxious open pipe popping way. It's big and growly. I like it. That said...I pretty much idle out of the neighborhood if I take off early in the morning.

It is certainly the most durable option out there, but it does require the updated front mount.

The D&D full system I have peaks at around 120db, so loud cars behind will never come close and when I had it on it get back home and have a 2 hour buzz in my ears, the wileyco is a lot quieter, and has a more linear pull.

I have a D&D full system, it's not that loud but i don't rev past about 6,000 as have rev limit set there.
the bike feels good with D&D on, but not a big difference over the stock 2" header with sport muffler, like below 4,000 i could not notice a lot of difference i seat of the pants. i think the D&D show up as rev's go up higher.
